Today August 27th in history of Nigeria “gave birth” to a new set of soldiers we started calling “Babangida Boys”.

They displayed their skill same August 27th day in 1985 and kept doing that until 1993 when they couldn’t continue that display making a new kind of Government alien to Nigeria to be handed power.

This photograph was that iconic image that was taken during the coup.

Location was at the fortress known as Bonny Camp at Victoria Island in Lagos.

You can see Babangida, Abacha and Dogonyaro (R-L)

In my next lecture here, I will tell you two historical facts about how it got its name Bonny Camp and what was on that location before it was turned into a Military base.
