*absolute limit being limit of skill/ability depending on what you’re talking about.

[𓀬Orion𓀬 @atiglain]

The weightlifting concept of progressive overload works weirdly well for like… most things that require sustained effort + improvement

[𓀬Orion𓀬 @atiglain]

Work at around 70-80% of your absolute limit, occasionally pushing to failure to test. Once the standard you’re working at gets too easy, make it difficult enough that you have to use 70-80% again. Rinse and repeat, and don’t forget to deload every so often

@csilverandgold Not the most recent one but Nam June Paik’s Bye Bye Kipling was genuinely moving and inspiring to me as an artist, I saw it at the SFMOMA a couple years ago. Difficult to find outside of museum showings unfortunately

@revhowardarson hey this is great, I read it like a month ago and I'm still thinking about it. would you mind if I made some art based on it? (all credit for story and concept would go to you, ofc)

[𓀬Orion𓀬 @atiglain]

@CasaubonZ bearded vultures are an absolute favorite of mine theyre so cool

[𓀬Orion𓀬 @atiglain]

although.... a city falconer might not be such a bad character idea. Imagine a falconer hired to take care of pests in a big city. fun stuff!

[𓀬Orion𓀬 @atiglain]

desperately want to get into falconry but alas i live in the city
