So proud that our own Pune boy Prafulla Dhariwal @prafdhar created a revolution in the way we use computers, when OpenAI recently released GPT-4o at its latest Spring Update event.

Here is something about his crucial early nurturing that is not reported in the big press that Prafulla is getting now.

Malti tai Kalmadi, the visionary founder of this great centre, told me today that he was such a genius, that his teachers themselves took his help in solving difficult questions from the model exam papers!!

His mother’s deep commitment, the constant support by the school principal Kamini Saxena  & his teachers also provided tha much needed early stimulus.

There  are hundreds of Prafulla like prodigies in India.

We need to spot them when they are very young,  nurture them, trust them to the hilt, invest in them & create opportunities for them by making INDIA ITSELF  as land of opportunity.

GPT-4o (o for “omni”) is the first model to come out of the omni team, OpenAI’s first natively fully multimodal model. This launch was a huge org-wide effort, but I’d like to give a shout out to a few of my awesome team members who made this magical model even possible!
