@janeelisabethh We've had several uplifting sermons lately. Yesterday's was on Esther. Also the music every Sunday speaks to me. And my Sunday school class has interesting discussions. The people who are part of our congregation are some of the kindest people I know. @BelmontUMC
@thtrisha16 Wow. And no headache? I would be dangerous without coffee. I make enough mistakes already before the caffeine kicks in, so I try to drink 2 cups before I begin work.
@KirkMcCall68 @AlmanME I'm having a little trouble finding joy right now (just got "retired" from my job), but I did find some peace in walking outside in the beautiful weather.
@MissyBuchanan The media seems obsessed with everything these days. A steady stream of bad news does not help anyone's mental health. They need to change the channel or turn off the TV in senior care centers!
@jorymicah I've been evolving for a long time. Raised Southern Baptist, got over that...when I was over 50. Became United Methodist, discovered a very different image of God. I've always questioned things...it's in my nature.
Ah, a nice present for Monday...I got to do an expense report. I call the system Concurse because it makes me want to curse. Of course there was a problem with a charge, and I had to contact someone in our finance dept. about it. She will straighten it out. Last expense report!
@MissyBuchanan Sometimes it's hard to tell ourselves the truth, but we must. I love Linda Douty's book and will probably pull it out this fall, with the theme of releasing.
@CaptinDeckerSTR I felt a little achy after my 2nd vaccine, but that's a lot better than getting COVID. Please get vaccinated. It's tough to get the monoclonal antibodies treatment now; you don't want to take chances.
@jorymicah Yes, sometimes trauma takes your breath away. The death of your dad is enough trauma, not to mention the other two. Take care of your body, mind, and spirit.
@jorymicah Things will get better. Surely. So sorry for your loss of your dad and for your heartbreak. The broken ankle will mend faster than your heart. In the meantime treat yourself to some things you enjoy. I just found out I lost my job starting Oct. 1. I took 3 days off to regroup.
