Israel has bombed the main Lebanese University campus. LU is the public university in Lebanon, the largest university in the country, and provides affordable higher education. But most importantly, like all universities in Gaza, it is a legitimate target of Israeli destruction

"Why do people from privileged class backgrounds often misidentify as working class?... these interviewees are able to tell an upward story of career success... while erasing the structural privileges that have shaped key moments in their trajectory."

@esdsantos Chronic depression has significant effects on cognitive abilities and brain activity, including memory Impairment, executive function, processing speed, concentration. This all makes functioning in academia into a hellish activity, esp. when others impose unrealistic expectations
I am excited to share that my podcast episode is out! I learned a lot from my interviewees, especially about the challenges of rationalizing the performance of rituals.
Thanks a lot to @SAPIENS and @HouseOfPod for all the guidance and support!

It’s worth reminding those critical of the student protests raging across the US: Gaza no longer has universities. Every single university in Gaza has been bombed into oblivion. Hundreds of academics, scholars, professors, & students have been killed since Oct. 7. #scholasticide
Students at @UTAustin are being violently arrested by Texas State Troopers for expressing their solidarity with Palestinian freedom & the Columbia encampment - contribute to their bail fund & keep teaching about, writing about & fighting for a #FreePalestine!
Not only did Columbia make the horrific decision to mobilize NYPD on their own students, but the units called in have some of the most violent reputations on the force.
NYPD had promised the city they wouldn’t deploy SRG to protests.
So why are these counterterror units here?
