Dear cyclists bringing your bikes on trains.
There is a large fucking section in one of the carriages for you to leave your bike and it isnโt in front of any random door on said train. They even have straps and shit for it.
Kind regards,
Me
@B52Returns@myurbangen By the size of the hub motor.
250W ones are small, extremely prone to quick failure when abused/delimited.
Doesn't matter what your opinion is.
Over 250w are bigger by design & construction.
@northernassist@bhafcedv4@CrossCountryUK@TPExpressTrains ...that's the point ๐
But I haven't seen one.
I've used the railways with ebikes regularly (monthly at least) for 8 years.
What are the odds I've not seen both types? Slim!
@TPExpressTrains@bhafcedv4@CrossCountryUK Booking isn't possible, staff onboard regularly confirm there is no communication between trains and office, so nobody actually knows between stops how many spaces are available.
@bhafcedv4@CrossCountryUK@TPExpressTrains Then you have @northernassist's pathetic effort.
Not even dedicated storage, you use a wheelchair bay *if* it is not in use.
That is it, no other options.
Tell us again about using a dedicated part of the carriage
@bhafcedv4@CrossCountryUK This is the @TPExpressTrains e.g
2 bikes max capacity, a 3rd can can be forced on.
No way to book them/reserve space.
This is also pram/suitcase storage so someone isn't getting access at some point every journey
@CityofYork perhaps a yellow box here would lessen the constant mess of gridlock the junction sees every day.
No 'straight on' cycling infrastructure across it makes it a huge safety risk.
@Layo_FH@Fat_Jacques Yeah we really shouldn't have decided to make building accommodation above commercial spaces, let's say at retail parks, illegal.
Terrible idea.
Who do we blame for that?
