So it’s official….the Ethiopian government in their continued effort to change the demographic of the capitol city and push Orthodox Christian parishioners away from their neighbourhood churches have given my family 4 days notice to vacate the family home in Gedam Sefer with no obvious compensation or alternative. The home built on land given to my wife’s Great Grandfather by Menelik the 2nd almost 100 years ago is now threatened with demolition as are most of the homes in the capitols oldest and most historic neighbourhood. As has been the case with neighbourhoods like Piassa, Kazanchis and other neighbourhoods, longtime residents and land owners are being forced from their homes under the guise of modernisation and development with very little notice. Residents are being promised housing or compensation but the fulfilment of these promises has always been minimal to nonexistent. We are praying for a miracle and that this ethnic cleansing campaign that has upended and destroyed so many thousands of lives of original residents of the city cease and be bought to a swift end.
As I am preparing to deliver packages containing my book and other evidences to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and other committee members on the hill before the August break, I wanted to alert other caring and concerned persons to take action to seek justice for the victims of this ethnic cleansing in Addis Ababa and beyond.
I am sharing a few of my visual impressions of the neighbourhood that for almost 5 years I called my second home. May God the Father intervene and stop this evil. @Chriseldalewis

The second largest Ethnic group in Ethiopia was silenced and mischaracterised during the Ethio-Tigray war in order for the Biden administration to convey a false narrative about the Amhara ethnic group and restore their favorite Marxist- Leninist oligarchy, the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front or TPLF to power. When that failed, they jumped behind the current prime ministers EthnoFascist Oromo Prosperity Party to be their new puppets on the Horn of Africa. There are hundreds if not thousands of us who personally witnessed hypocritical language and dealings of USAID in Ethiopia during the last war.

The current aggression in North Gonder begins as the crimes from the first war still have not been addressed. MERSA, ETHIOPIA - JANUARY 12, 2022: A view of the looted pharmacy store, a stripped delivery room and TPLF graffiti at the Mersa Metro Hospital in North Wollo on January 12, 2022 in Mersa, Ethiopia. Mersa is one of dozens of towns and cities that line the A2 road that stretches from Addis Ababa to Mekelle. In July of 2021 the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) invaded the Amhara and Afar regions after the Ethiopian Government called for a unilateral cease-fire after 8 months of war. As the TPLF invaded the regions, they committed numerous atrocities along with large scale looting and destruction of resources in particular in the Amhara region. According to Doctors Meheret Mekuria and Getachew Mola, the Mersa Metro Hospital lost all of its equipment used to facilitate child delivery and major operations with total damage and losses said to be 150 million Ethiopian birr ($3,041,278,852 USD). As of January 12, 2022 when this report was made, the city as a whole was without running water or electricity because of sabotage and damage done to the infrastructure by the TPLF. (Photo by J.
