Online Canadian national Lakotah Salvini aka “Nomad” and another individual have reportedly been charged with attempting to impersonate CIA officials.

Mr. Salvini attempted this scheme on me in 2024, and I didn't buy it.

In April 2024, "Nomad" reached out to me about Russell "Duke" Vane IV (a militia member who had represented himself as working for the CIA and provided unwanted bomb making instructions to the group, covered in Episode 9 of Fall of the Boogaloo. Vane had in fact worked at the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency).

Nomad claimed to "have an actual background with the agency" and said the situation was "pissing me off" because Duke "never worked for us in his life," apparently falsely referencing the CIA as "us."

He claimed the ability to look up Confidential Informants and CIA employees, which I obviously disbelieved. He made the ridiculous claim that while sharing this information, any actual proof would be classified.

Frankly, at the time, I was wondering whether Nomad and Mr. Vane were collaborating somehow (which I do not believe was the case). This was part of my motivation to keep him talking.

He claimed that while he had no evidence of his claims, "you can ask my DOJ liaison if you’ve got Telegram."

"If a guy on Twitter said he works for the CIA and their evidence was 'ask a guy on telegram' would you believe him?" I questioned him.

Obviously, I didn't publish or believe any of the information he attempted to provide.
