Computational complexity is the basis for encryption, you can brute force break any encryption, it's about the size of the search space making it infeasible.
@being_mudit If someone needs a higher level guarantee, they could try and find some vendor willing to sign a contract to cover that for them. I feel this is a really useful compromise in our economy and legal framework.

@being_mudit Anyone using FFmpeg is doing so under the license they have with it, if that license doesn't stipulate responsibility for security patches there isn't and shouldn't be any legal liability on them.
