@riger1984 I get this take in the moment..Dan is way smarter than people realize. It was the correct call, not just because it worked, but because of the rationale, that if you punt, you are risking never seeing the ball again.
@MarcRyanOnAir With our defense and GB offense, it was very reasonable to account for the strong possibility that if we punt there we don’t see the ball again. Not reckless, but rather a very well thought out strategic decision that btw..did work out.
@Billem_DaFoe Aren’t you using retroactive reasoning by saying “the fact the packers didn’t score…” ? With the information Campbell had at the time, it is absolutely sound reasoning…and by the way it worked out, so he was, in fact, correct.
@EmmanuelAcho Or..it was the exact correct decision to make sure that no matter what GB did, Lions would get the ball back with time and a chance to match or win. In that regard it worked exactly as planned.
@JimCosta_ Difficult to see in the moment which makes it all the more impressive of a call in hindsight. The reality is even though the plan A didn’t work, the plan B. If we punt that ball away, there is a very strong chance that GB is the one scoring with no time left.
@ClayTravis@TomiLahren I feel like the animation category has been ignored in this discussion…Ducktales, Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Gummi Bears…are all in this conversation too
@biggsy8818@FOX2News I think there is a reasonable distinction between weather conditions and field dimensions. If it were up to me I’d get rid of turf though. But the point is, football stadiums are unique and interesting without having different field designs.
@stupid2211@squatchrobers@FOX2News Fair enough. Honestly something I know will never change. Most people disagree with me and that’s fine. Just bugs me. lol.
@stupid2211@squatchrobers@FOX2News I actually agree with that entirely. But are you suggesting that end of season and career stats don’t matter in baseball?? I’d argue that it’s what the sport was built on. Some of those numbers are the most sacred parts of baseball history.
@stupid2211@squatchrobers@FOX2News 1. I don’t really care about the injury (just an excuse to bring up my pet peeve)
2. HR is the most venerated stats in sports, but the achievement varies wildly from 1 stadium to another. A routine pop fly in on stadium is a HR in another. That’s my main issue
