The conference I choose is coming up at Auburn March 4-5. This conference gives Special Education teachers that teach transition the information that they need to be able to better understand transition and be able to write goals that are geared to the individual. #UWAed505fa2

I found a webinar about working with diverse parents during the IEP process. It was so informative especially with the number of students from culturally and diverse backgrounds increasing each year. This webinar was so beneficial for me in my teaching field.#UWAed505fa2

I can use listserv in my classroom to communicate with my parents when there is an IEP meeting, eligibility meeting or an reevaluation. I can use this platform to have another form of communication to my parents. #UWAed505fa2

I believe the Alabama Educator Code of Ethics needs to be one of the documents that we need to make sure that we have saved and can be one that can be easily located. Mainly because it has the do's and the dont's that we as educators are swore to keep. #UWAed505fa2

The National Center for learning Disabilities has a main goal of giving parents and young adults an advocate for equal rights and opportunities. The center helps students with disabilities who want to attend college and can offer scholarships for them as well. #UWAed505fa2

The county that I work in provide us really good professional development for it's teachers. This summer we had a webinar on suicide prevention. I thought that was an issue that we need to beware of and to know the warning signs to maybe stop this act. #UWAed505fa2
