आयपीएस अधिकारी श्री. विश्वास नांगरे पाटील यांना अचानक दुहेरी निष्ठा दाखवण्याची इच्छा झाली आहे असं दिसतंय. ते एक पोलीस अधिकारी आहेत, त्यामुळे त्यांची निष्ठा फक्त आणि फक्त पोलीस दलाची जी कर्तव्य आहेत त्याच्याशी असायला हवी. पण इथे नांगरे पाटील यांना त्यांची राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघाशी असलेली निष्ठा दाखवावीशी वाटत आहे. सध्या राज्यात हिंदू संमेलनं भरवली जात आहेत आणि त्यातल्या एका संमेलनात जाऊन विश्वास नांगरे पाटील यांनी राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ, त्यांचे संस्थापक यांच्यावर स्तुतिसुमने उधळली. मुळात ही संमेलनं भरवली जात आहेत ती जरी अराजकीय आहेत असं दाखवलं जात असली तरी ती राजकीयच आहेत .

आणि ती भरवणारे कोण आहेत आणि त्यांचे हेतू नक्की काय आहेत, याचा थोडा शॊध घेतला किंवा विचार जरी केला तरी या मागचे हात कुठे आहेत हे कळेल. अर्थात प्रत्येक राजकीय पक्षाला किंवा अराजकीय संघटना म्हणवून घेणाऱ्यांनी काय कार्यक्रम घ्यावेत आणि काय त्यातून सांगावे हा त्यांचा, प्रत्येक पक्षाचा आणि संघटनेचा विषय आहे , त्यामुळे त्याबद्दल बोलायचा किंवा त्यावर भाष्य करण्याचा प्रश्नच उद्भवत नाही ! विषय एका सरकारी नोकरीवर असणाऱ्याने, त्यातही पोलिस अधिकाऱ्याने तेथे जावं का हा प्रश्न आहे !

अशा ठिकाणी नांगरे पाटील जाऊन राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघाची तोंडभरून स्तुती करत आहेत. आपण पोलीस अधिकारी आहोत, निष्पक्षता ही अधिकाऱ्याकडून अपेक्षित असते याचं भान पण तुमचं गेलं ? तुम्हाला संघाबद्दल आपुलकी असेल, तर ती मनात ठेवा किंवा जाहीरपणे बोलायचं असेल तर सेवेचा राजीनामा द्या आणि संघात किंवा भाजपमध्ये सामील व्हा. सध्या तसंही गेली अनेक वर्ष मर्जीतल्या अधिकाऱ्यांसाठी पुनर्वसन हमी योजना सुरु आहेच. तुमचंही पुनर्वसन होईल.
नांगरे पाटील यांच्या वर्दीचा जो खाकी रंग आहे तो पोलीस दलाचा आहे असा आमच्या सगळ्यांचा समज होता, तो रंग संघाच्या आधीच्या खाकीचा आहे हे आत्ताच कळलं .

नांगरे पाटील यांचं सोडा, ते भरकटले असतील. पण अशी दुहेरी निष्ठा मुख्यमंत्र्यांना आणि गृहमंत्र्यांना चालते ? उद्या तुम्ही सत्तेवरून गेल्यानंतर दुसऱ्या एखाद्या संघटनेच्या कार्यक्रमाला मग एखादा अधिकारी गेला तर तेव्हा बोंब मारू नका ! एखाद्या अधिकाऱ्याच्या कृतीचं समर्थन ( अजून केलेलं नाही तरी पण गप्प बसणं हेही समर्थनच झालं ) करताना आपण काय चूकीचे पायंडे पाडत आहोत याचं भान कोणताही सत्ताधारी विसरतो तेव्हा आपण भविष्यातल्या येणाऱ्या पिढ्यांसमोर काय वाढून ठेवणार आहोत हेही विसरतोय ?

२०१२ ला रझा अकादमीच्या विरोधात महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेनेने काढलेल्या मोर्च्यात एका कॉन्स्टेबलने येऊन, पोलिसांच्या पाठीशी उभे राहिलात म्हणून माझं अभिनंदन केलं होतं. तर त्यावर तत्कालीन सरकारने निष्पक्षता सोडली म्हणून त्यांना सक्तीच्या रजेवर पाठवलं होतं. मग हीच भूमिका सरकार नांगरे पाटील यांच्या बाबत घेणार का ? का ही दुहेरी निष्ठा सरकारला चालते किंवा ती दाखवयालाच हवी असं वाटतं ?

आमदार, खासदार यांना 'आमच्याकडे या' म्हणलं की पळत जावं लागतं, अशी परिस्थिती आणून ठेवली आहे. सध्या विरोधी आमदार, खासदार उरलेत का अशी शंका वाटत असताना जर सरकारी अधिकारी पण जर निष्पक्ष नाही राहिले तर लोकांनी बघायचं कोणाकडे ?

नांगरे पाटील असोत किंवा अजून कोणी असोत यांना विनंती आहे की सरकारला तुम्ही त्यांच्या किंवा त्यांच्या मागच्या संघटनांच्या मागे धावलात तर त्यांना हे हवंच आहे. परंतू नांगरे पाटील तुम्ही एक चांगले कार्यक्षम अधिकारी आहात , तुम्ही तरी तुमची सद्सद्विवेक राजकीय पक्ष आणि संघटनांसमोर गहाण टाकू नका !

I think India has completely misread the biggest economic shift of the last decade.

Unfortunately the Government of India has failed. Not marginally. Not partially. It has failed in a big way.

For years we have been told that India is the fastest-growing large economy in the world. That our demographics are unmatched. That our consumption story is intact. That global investors cannot ignore us.

Yet look at what has actually happened.

Over the last 4–5 years the world witnessed one of the biggest reallocations of capital in modern history.

Trillions of dollars moved.

The US attracted capital into AI. Taiwan became the semiconductor capital of the world. South Korea became a key beneficiary of the memory and AI boom. Vietnam emerged as a manufacturing destination. Singapore strengthened its position as Asia's capital hub. UAE became a magnet for global entrepreneurs and family offices.

And India?

India largely watched from the sidelines while continuing to sell the same consumption story.

The numbers tell the story.

Net FDI inflows into India have fallen sharply from their peak years.

Private equity activity has slowed materially.

Venture capital funding is a fraction of what it was during the 2021 cycle.

Foreign investors have been net sellers for prolonged periods.

And despite all this there seems to be very little introspection within the system..

Instead every explanation sounds familiar.

"It's a global issue."
"It's temporary."
"It's an AI bubble."
"It's because of interest rates."

At some point we need to stop explaining away reality.

Capital does not care about narratives.

Capital follows opportunity.

And we failed to create enough of it.

China built manufacturing ecosystems that are still decades ahead of us. America built the world's most powerful innovation engine. Taiwan built the semiconductor backbone of the digital economy.

India built compliance.

Ask any foreign investor.

They worry about:

* tax uncertainty
* regulatory complexity
* currency depreciation
* capital movement restrictions
* compliance burden
* endless approvals

These are not ideological issues. These are execution failures.

What makes this even more worrying is that India continues to depend heavily on a consumption-led growth model.

But where does that consumption come from?

A large part comes from:

* salaried professionals
* IT employees
* financial services
* real estate-linked employment
* urban middle class spending

Now look at what AI is doing.

Whether people like it or not this is no longer a passing theme.

It is already reshaping hiring.

It is already reshaping productivity.

It is already changing how businesses think about incremental headcount.

If India misses this wave as well then the consequences will not be limited to the IT sector.

The ripple effects could hit:

* housing demand
* automobiles
* travel
* entertainment
* premium consumption
* retail spending

The second-order impact may be larger than the first-order impact.

And yet where is the urgency?

Where is the national AI mission at scale?

Where are the world-class research incentives?

Where are the regulatory reforms to attract global capital?

Where is the accountability from bureaucrats who have repeatedly missed these shifts?

The most dangerous assumption being made today is that demographics will save India.

Demographics are not an advantage by default.

They are only an advantage if jobs are created faster than aspirations.

Otherwise demographics become pressure.

And pressure eventually becomes unrest.

The world is moving faster than at any point in modern history.

The uncomfortable truth is that India is not competing against its own past anymore.

India is competing against countries that are moving with far greater speed and urgency.

The next 3 years will decide whether India becomes a genuine economic superpower or remains a country endlessly talking about its potential.

Potential does not attract capital. Execution does.

Every young Indian I have spoken to understands this. You know that no amount of profit is worth destroying what can never be recovered.

I stand for ecologically balanced development. These islands can be the most extraordinary sustainable destination the world has ever seen. That is the India worth fighting for.

Now lakhs of CBSE Class 9 students suddenly asked to learn a new language from July 1, with no teachers, no textbooks, and Class 6 books being handed to 14-year-olds as a “transitional” fix.

Three exams. Three age groups. One Minister.

Dharmendra Pradhan ji has not failed once. He has failed every single age group of India’s students at once.

Every announcement plunges children deeper into uncertainty. Every failure goes unpunished. The Education Ministry has become a department of disasters.

Prime Minister Modi ji - can you at least apologise to the lakhs of children whose futures you and your Minister have destroyed?

The Central Government continues its tradition of creating chaos in every matter and holding the public to ransom. The 'NEET' paper leak has proven this once again. The 'NEET' question paper was reportedly purchased for a sum of ₹10 lakh. And the roots of this scandal were traced back to Maharashtra. Of course, this network of paper leaks is nationwide. Coaching classes that prepare students for 'NEET' are also co-conspirators.

What did the Central Government do when they found out? It merely cancelled the examination and ordered a CBI inquiry. Prior to this, in 2024, a CBI inquiry was ordered in a similar case, but nothing substantial was achieved through it. The government projects an air of having fulfilled its duty in all of this. But what of the lives of 22 lakh students and their families that have been left hanging in the balance?

Fundamentally, there was no need to impose 'NEET' back in 2016. However, this government’s obsession with bringing everything under a single, centralized authority is so intense that, to them, it seems to make no difference if the lives of hundreds of thousands of people are thrown into disarray. I have been voicing my objections regarding 'NEET' since 2016. I foresaw that these examinations would disadvantage students from Maharashtra, while those who are economically well-off would enroll in expensive coaching classes. Furthermore, I could clearly see that these coaching institutes, leveraging their financial power, would manipulate examination results to suit their own ends, and that children from ordinary households would be the ones crushed in the process. That is precisely why we have been opposing this system since 2016.

Leaders from the southern states have voiced their opposition in much the same way I have. The current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay, is also adamantly demanding the cancellation of 'NEET'. The reason for this is that the five southern states - combined with Maharashtra - collectively possess over 350 medical colleges, whereas the large states in the North have only 180 medical colleges. Consequently, this entire persistent push that began in 2016 is essentially an attempt to facilitate the entry of students from the North into medical colleges in the South. And to facilitate this, the largest network of coaching classes has been established in the northern states. And they know exactly how to bend the system to their will. The main question is: are we prepared to entrust our health to the doctors who emerge from such a rotten system? And is this merely because the Central government decided that there should be a single, unified examination for medical admissions from now on?

Previously, every state conducted its own separate examination; prior to that, admissions were granted based solely on marks obtained in the 12th-grade board exams. Let us concede, for the sake of argument, that there may have been flaws in those earlier methods; however, instead of rectifying them 'NEET' was introduced which has proven to be even more disastrous. There have been instances in this examination where certain students astonishingly scored a perfect 720 out of 720. In other instances, grace marks were arbitrarily awarded. In short, the system has rolled out a red carpet to those who have the power to manipulate it. The current government seems to operate on a convenient principle: “If you align with us, you are deemed 'clean'; and once you have successfully 'managed' our system, you are free to do whatever you please."

Firstly, the medical seats available in the country are less. Then you institute a nationwide exam with its future perpetually uncertain. Every year there’s a new drama. A few years ago, I personally spoke with the Prime Minister, and the issue was resolved at that time. But no permanent, structural reforms were implemented.

केंद्र सरकारची प्रत्येक विषयात गोंधळ घालून लोकांना वेठीस धरण्याची परंपरा सुरूच आहे. 'NEET' पेपरफुटीने परत एकदा हे सिद्ध झालं. 'NEET' चा पेपर १० लाख रुपयांना विकत घेतला गेला. आणि याची मुळं सापडली महाराष्ट्रात. अर्थात हे पेपरफुटीचं जाळं देशव्यापी आहे. यांत 'NEET' साठी तयार करून घेणाऱ्या कोचिंग क्लासेसचा पण हात आहे.

हे सगळं झाल्यावर केंद्र सरकारने काय केलं तर परीक्षा रद्द केली आणि सीबीआय चौकशी लावली. या आधी पण २०२४ ला सीबीआय चौकशी अशाच एका प्रकरणात लावली होती त्यातून काही साध्य झालं नाही. या सगळ्यात आपण आपलं काम केलं असा सरकारचा आविर्भाव आहे. पण २२ लाख मुलांचं आणि त्यांच्या कुटुंबीयांचं आयुष्य टांगणीला लागलं त्याचं काय ?

मुळात २०१६ ला 'NEET' लादण्याची गरजच नव्हती. पण सगळं एकछत्री अंमलाखाली आणण्याची या सरकारची खुमखुमी इतकी तीव्र आहे की मग काही लाख लोकांच्या आयुष्याचा खेळखंडोबा झाला तर काय फरक पडतो ? 'NEET' बद्दल मी २०१६ पासून आक्षेप नोंदवत होतो. या परीक्षांमुळे महाराष्ट्रातील विद्यार्थ्यांचं नुकसान होणार आणि जे आर्थिकदृष्ट्या सक्षम आहेत, ते महागडे कोचिंग क्लासेस लावणार. पुढे हे क्लासवाले आर्थिक शक्तीच्या जोरावर परीक्षांचे निकाल हवे तसे वाकवणार हे मला दिसत होतं आणि सामान्य घरातील मुलं,मुली भरडली जाणार हे मला दिसत होतं आणि म्हणून २०१६ पासून आम्ही याला विरोध करतोय.

माझ्या सारखाच विरोध दक्षिणेतील नेत्यांनी पण केला. सध्याचे तामिळनाडूचे नवे मुख्यमंत्री विजय पण 'NEET' रद्द करा म्हणून आग्रह धरत आहेत. कारण दक्षिणेतील ५ राज्य आणि महाराष्ट्र मिळून जवळपास ३५० च्या वर मेडिकल कॉलेजेस आहेत आणि वरती उत्तरेतली मोठ्या राज्यांमध्ये फक्त १८० मेडिकल कॉलेजेस आहेत. त्यामुळे उत्तरेतील विद्यार्थी दक्षिणेत घुसवण्यासाठी हा सगळा अट्टाहास २०१६ पासून सुरु आहे. आणि त्यासाठी कोचिंग क्लासेसचं सगळ्यात मोठं जाळं उत्तरेतल्या राज्यांत आहे. आणि व्यवस्था कशी वाकवायची हे त्यांना नीट माहित आहे. प्रश्न इतकाच आहे की अशा सडलेल्या व्यवस्थेतून जे डॉक्टर्स बाहेर पडतील त्यांच्या हातात आपण आपलं आरोग्य देणार आहोत का ? आणि का तर केंद्राला वाटलं की यापुढे मेडिकल प्रवेशासाठी एकच परीक्षा हवी म्हणून ?

आधी प्रत्येक राज्याची एक परीक्षा होती, त्याच्या आधी तर बारावीच्या मार्कांवर प्रवेश मिळायचा. समजा त्यात काही त्रुटी होत्या असं मान्य करू, मग त्या सुधारायच्या सोडून जी 'NEET' परीक्षा आणली ती अजून भीषण निघाली. या परीक्षेत कधी काही विद्यार्थ्यांना ७२० पैकी ७२० गुण मिळाल्याची उदाहरणं आहेत जे अशक्य वाटतं, कधी परस्पर ग्रेस मार्क्स दिलेत. थोडक्यात काय ज्याच्याकडे व्यवस्था वाकवायची शक्ती आहे त्याला पायघड्या घातल्या जाणार. सध्याचं सरकारचं बरं आहे की आमच्यासोबत आलात की तुम्ही स्वच्छ आणि आमच्या व्यवस्थेला एकदा शांत केलंत की मग तुम्ही काहीही करा.

प्रश्न असा आहे की मुळात मेडिकलच्या जागा कमी. त्यासाठी राष्ट्रव्यापी परीक्षा. तिचं काय होईल माहित नाही. दरवर्षी काहीतरी नवीन खेळ. काही वर्षांपूर्वी 'NEET' परीक्षेच्या गोंधळावर मी थेट पंतप्रधानांशी बोललो होतो, तेंव्हा प्रश्न सुटला. पण कायमस्वरूपी काही सुधारणा नाही.

बरं इतकी वर्ष एकच माणूस श्री. धर्मेंद्र प्रधान हे केंद्रीय शिक्षण मंत्री म्हणून चिकटून बसलेत. त्यांच्या काळात 'NEET' मध्ये इतके घोळ झाले, पण तरीही हे महाशय तिथेच बसलेत. बहुदा हिंदी देशभर लादण्याचा अजेंडा ते नेटाने राबवत आहेत म्हणून त्यांना ही बक्षिसी दिली आहे का ? माझी पंतप्रधानांना विनंती आहे की २२ लाख विद्यार्थ्यांच्या आयुष्याशी अनेकदा खेळ करणाऱ्या तुमच्या या मंत्र्यांचा तात्काळ राजीनामा घ्या.

माझी महाराष्ट्र सरकारमधील मंत्र्यांना पण विनंती आहे की जरा पाठीचा कणा ताठ दाखवून दक्षिणेतील राज्यांच्या आवाजात आपला आवाज मिसळा. हे 'NEET' वैगरे काही नको आपल्याला. आपल्याला आपल्या राज्यातील मुलांशी घेणंदेणं आहे. महाराष्ट्रातील मेडिकल कॉलेजेसमध्ये मराठी मुलांनाच प्रवेश मिळणार नसेल तर उपयोग काय तुमचा? सध्या पेट्रोल डिझेल वाचवतोय हे दाखवण्याचा जो संपूर्ण सरकारचा इव्हेन्ट सुरु आहे त्यातून बाहेर या. तुम्ही जे हे सगळं करत आहात हे एक दिवसाचं आणि एका फोटोपुरतं आहे हे सगळ्यांना माहीत आहे. त्यापेक्षा मेडिकल प्रवेश परीक्षेबद्दल बोला आणि काहीतरी ठाम ( ठाम म्हणजे राज्याच्या हिताची, नाही तर केंद्र जे सांगेल त्याला रेटून हो म्हणणं याला ठाम भूमिका म्हणतील) भूमिका घ्या.

Two days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to Indians to adopt austerity. Reduce gold purchases, avoid unnecessary foreign travel, consume less petrol and diesel, shift to electric vehicles, and embrace work-from-home practices. Why? Because gold and crude oil are imported, and they drain precious foreign exchange reserves. And with the Iran conflict escalating, global crude prices have surged sharply.

Fair enough. But the Prime Minister and senior leaders continue to travel across the country with massive convoys, roadshows, helicopters, flower showers, and extravagant political campaigns. Will the prime minister admit that ‘such political excesses were our mistake, and all of us including me, will not repeat it’? Why should the common man suffer for your mistakes? Is austerity meant only for the citizen and never for the political class?

Crude oil today is hovering around 90–100 dollars per barrel. But this is not the first time the world has seen such prices. During the 2008 financial crisis, during the Arab Spring of 2011–12, and the 2013–14 phase (when the BJP itself aggressively attacked the UPA over fuel prices) and again during the OPEC production cuts in 2022–23, crude prices had similarly touched these levels. During 3-4 such periods Dr. Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister. Narendra Modi himself held the position once. Dr. Manmohan Singh did not ask citizens to stop travelling abroad. Narendra Modi himself did not make such appeals earlier either. So why now? When global crude prices had fallen to nearly 60–65 dollars per barrel, Indian citizens were still paying extremely high prices for petrol and diesel because of heavy taxation. The government earned lakhs of crores through fuel taxes. Where did that money go?

The Prime Minister once mocked the “freebie culture.” Yet elections - from Maharashtra to Bihar to West Bengal - are increasingly fought and won through precisely such populist giveaways. In Maharashtra, the ‘Ladki Bahin’ scheme has put tremendous strain on state finances. Instead of genuinely empowering women through jobs, education, and safety, governments distribute temporary cash benefits while inflation silently takes back much of that money. If the economic situation is indeed serious, will the Prime Minister openly ask all political parties to stop competitive populism?

The PM now asks citizens to reduce fuel consumption. Fine. But why did this wisdom not emerge during massive election campaigns involving thousands of vehicles, endless roadshows, and the transport of lakhs of supporters across states like West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala? That itself would have burnt crores of liters of petrol and diesel. This didn’t occur to you when massive money power was wielded to gain votes there? Citizens are also being advised to avoid foreign travel. But how many Indians can afford international travel today? Even the middle class that can afford it is living under constant job insecurity. Students wish to study abroad because India has not invested deeply enough in higher education over the last decade, nor created enough confidence in domestic institutions. All you seem to be interested in is imposition of Hindi.

Meanwhile, foreign institutional investors have been steadily pulling money out of Indian markets. Estimates suggest that nearly ₹1.5 lakh crore has exited over the past few months. पंतप्रधान श्री. नरेंद्र मोदींनी दोन दिवसांपूर्वी तमाम भारतीयांना काटकसर करण्याचं आवाहन केलं. सोनं खरेदी कमी करा किंवा जवळपास थांबवाच, परदेशात गरज नसेल तर जाऊ नका, पेट्रोल डिझेलचा वापर कमी करा, विजेवर चालणाऱ्या गाड्या जास्त वापरा, वर्कफ्रॉम होमचा पर्याय स्वीकारा इत्यादी इत्यादी. हे सगळं का ? तर, सोनं, पेट्रोल डिझेल हे आयात करावं लागतं आणि त्यात विदेशी गंगाजळी मोठ्या प्रमाणवर खर्च होते. आणि सध्या इराण युद्धामुळे खनिज तेलाचे भाव प्रचंड वाढलेत.

बरं, मग स्वतः पंतप्रधान आणि त्यांचे सगळे सहकारी देशभर काही शे गाड्यांचा ताफा घेऊन मिरवणुका काढत आहेत, स्वतःवर फुलं उधळून घेत आहेत त्याचं काय करणार आहात आपण ? आमच्याकडून चूक झाली त्याबद्दल दिलगिरी व्यक्त करून, यापुढे माझ्यासकट कोणीही काही असं करणार नाही असं सांगणार आहात का ? चुका तुमच्या, आणि त्याचा भुर्दंड जनतेला का ?

सध्या खनिज तेलाचा आंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजारातील भाव हा साधारणपणे ९० ते १०० डॉलर्स प्रति बॅरल असा आहे. हा भाव जगाने या आधी कधी पाहिला नाही असं नाही.
२००८ ला पुढे २०११-२०१२ मध्ये अरब स्प्रिंगच्या वेळेस, २०१३-२०१४ च्या काळात ( जेंव्हा भाजपवाले खनिज तेलाच्या किंमती आणि देशाची इभ्रत यावर तावातावाने बोलत होते तो काळ ), पुढे अशीच परिस्थिती २०२२ आणि २०२३ च्या दरम्यान जेंव्हा ओपेकने खनिज तेलाचं उत्पादन कमी करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला तेंव्हा देखील बॅरलचा भाव ९० ते १०० डॉलर्सच्या दरम्यान गेला होता. या घटनांपैकी ३ ते ४ वेळा मनमोहन सिंग पंतप्रधान होते आणि एकदा तर स्वतः मोदी पंतप्रधान होते. मनमोहन सिंगांनी असं आवाहन केलं नाही की तेंव्हा मोदींनी केलं नाही. मग आत्ताच का ? काटकसर करा हे आवाहन करताना खरं कारण देशाच्या आणि राज्याराज्यांच्या अर्थव्यवस्थेचं जे काही कंबरडं मोडून ठेवलं आहे त्याबद्दल पंतप्रधान काहीच बोलत नाहीयेत. बरं जेंव्हा बॅरलचा भाव ६० ते ६५ डॉलर्सच्या आसपास होता तेंव्हा पण तुम्ही चढ्या भावाने आम्हाला पेट्रोल डिझेल विकत होतात त्यावेळेस जे पैसे लोकांकडून घेतले जे काही लाख कोटी रुपये असतील ते कुठे गेले ? त्याचं काय झालं ?

ज्या रेवडी संस्कृतीची पंतप्रधानांनी खिल्ली उडवली त्याच रेवड्या मग २०२४ ची महाराष्ट्र विधानसभेची निवडणूक असो की त्यानंतरच्या बिहार, पश्चिम बंगाल निवडणूका असोत की इतर कुठल्याही निवडणुका 'रेवड्या' वाटूनच निवडणुका जिंकल्यात. महाराष्ट्रात लाडकी बहीण योजनेने राज्याची अर्थव्यवस्था मोडकळीला आणली. महिलांना सक्षम करायचं सोडून त्यांना तुटपुंजे पैसे द्यायचे आणि ते पैसे महागाईच्या रूपाने पुन्हा काढून घ्यायचे. देशाची आणि राज्याची अर्थव्यवस्था जर नाजूक झाली आहे तर या रेवड्या वाटू नका असं पंतप्रधान ठामपणे सांगणार आहेत का ?

पेट्रोल, डिझेलच्या वापरात काटकसर करा असं पंतप्रधान सांगतात. ठीक आहे. मग हे आत्ताच का सुचलं ? पश्चिम बंगाल, आसाम, तामिळनाडू, केरळ आणि इतर राज्यांच्या निवडणुकीत प्रचार, रोड शो करताना आणि देशभरातून लाखो माणसं त्या त्या राज्यात नेताना जे कोट्यवधी लिटर्स पेट्रोल, डिझेल वाया गेलं तेंव्हा का नाही सुचलं ? या राज्यांमध्ये जो अफाट पैशाचा खेळ करून मतदान मिळवलं तेंव्हा का नाही सुचलं ? लोकांनी परदेशात जाणं टाळावं असं पंतप्रधान म्हणतात. पण किती टक्के लोकांना परदेशात जाणं आत्ता परवडत आहे ? ज्या वर्गाला परवडू शकतो त्यांना पुढच्या महिन्यात आपली कंपनी आपल्याला कामावर ठेवेल का याची खात्री नाही. विद्यार्थ्यांना परदेशात शिकायला जावंस वाटतं कारण गेल्या १० ते ११ वर्षांत आपण शिक्षणात फार मूलभूत गुंतवणूक पण केली नाही भारतात रहावं असं वाटावं असं वातावरण पण निर्माण केलं नाही. शिक्षणात फक्त हिंदी कशी लादता येईल याकडे सगळं लक्ष लागलेलं.

गेले काही महिने विदेशी गुंतवणूकदार भारतीय शेअर बाजारातून अंग काढून घेत आहेत. एक अंदाज असा आहे जवळपास दीड लाख करोड रुपये गेल्या तीन महिन्यात विदेशी गुंतवणूकदारांनी काढून घेतलेत. भारतात विदेशी गुंतवणूक होत नाहीये. पंतप्रधान आणि त्यांचे मुख्यमंत्री फक्त गुंतवणुकीचे करार करतात, त्यासाठी थंड हवेच्या देशांत जातात. बरं तिथे जाऊन भारतीय कंपन्यांसोबत करार करायचे मग त्यासाठी स्वित्झर्लंडला काय जायचं? स्वतः पंतप्रधान आता १५ मे पासून ५ देशांच्या परदेश दौऱ्यावर निघालेत, हे दौरे तुम्ही थांबवा. आणि मग लोकांना आवाहन करा.

India needs to pay URGENT attention !!

This is not delimitation. This is political punishment.
Punishment for controlling population.
Punishment for investing in education.
Punishment for doing exactly what the nation asked us to do.

For decades, South Indian states acted responsibly , built human capital, strengthened public systems, and contributed disproportionately to India’s economy.

And now, the reward?
Fewer voices in Parliament.
Let that sink in.
States that governed better are being pushed to the margins, while political power shifts purely on population numbers.

This is not federalism. This is a structural imbalance in the making.
Is India still a Union of States or are we heading toward permanent dominance by a few, at the cost of others?

Representation cannot come at the cost of balance.

Democracy cannot mean silencing those who performed better.

If delimitation happens without safeguards, it won’t just redraw constituencies , it will redraw the idea of India itself.
SOUTH INDIA IS NOT ASKING FOR PRIVELEGE.
It is asking for fairness.
