That’s a wrap for 2024 — we’re looking forward to helping everyone edit their websites next year!

[David Large @avidlarge]

@DataChaz @github Fun fact: a not-insignificant number of these is me fixing typos on my own site, committing, then spotting another fix.

[David Large @avidlarge]

The Web Almanac Report is back this year — 16.9M websites tested, and 83TB of data processed — and it’s fascinating reading. Thanks to @mikeneumegen, @thomkrupa and @guaca for their work on the Jamstack chapter, leaving very little actual editing for me 😅 https://t.co/t92i6NCEMS

[David Large @avidlarge]

@NickADobos @CloudCannon’s doing a great job imo at applying git to the CMS space without being overwhelmingly technical — it’s really handy branching a site to test changes and iterate then merge to main to publish. Wish I’d had it for 3 years of mostly manual manuscript version analysis 😅

Building your pages with CloudCannon’s Visual Editor is amazing, but did you know that devs can easily build their own components? Or that your new components can be as fixed or flexible as your content team needs?

@avidlarge shows how: https://t.co/WcPrBPEpjV

[Martyn Pepperell @martynpepperell]

If you ever need some copywriting done, please feel free to send me a message. I'm also almost always available for journalism commissions, but I know how that all goes. No hard feelings / all good if not.

[David Large @avidlarge]

@malcolmlowry Incredible! What a gem of a copy.

In 15 mins, @avidlarge & @LiamBigelow are speaking at #11tyConf about Managing Content Management – Git CMS & Static API generation, together at last!

[David Large @avidlarge]

@A_G_Hawkins @CloudCannon It’s pretty clear Aaron. First you initiate the static retroencabulator, then you de-escalate the pixels, align the skeuomatrices, and free-write a content model. Easy.

[CloudCannon @CloudCannon]

What is a Headless CMS?

@avidlarge delves into the concept of a Headless CMS, highlighting its benefits for both developer and content teams.
