Now that @AdityaDharFilms has EXPLODED a ATOMIC BOMB right under the film industry, what is shocking is the loud silence from the rest of the film industry .

I don’t know whether this is because the #Dhurandhar2 ‘s devastating explosion has hurled everyone else in the film industry so far into OUTER SPACE that their applause cannot reach here due to the long distances , OR whether they’re huddled in denial, whispering to each other , “It’s just propaganda… it will go away soon ,” so that they can crawl back and resume making their same old repetitive films.
OR are they just paralysed by the film’s sheer brilliance , realising that whatever they’ve been making or planning to make , now simply cannot measure up?
But isn’t it extremely unwise to ignore a DINOSAUR like #Dhurandhar2 staring you in the face and BREATHING FIRE into your eyes with its BOX OFFICE ROAR shaking the very ground beneath their feet , how can anyone be so foolish enough to look away?

My sincere advice to all my colleagues in the film industry is to please take #Dhurandhar2 deadly seriously and study it like a ultra fresh course in filmmaking and educate yourselves OR risk being buried forever in the graveyard of pre March 19th 2026 cinema.🙏

I loved Dhurandhar-1, but The Revenge surpassed the original in both scale and soul.
The writing, casting, technical execution, music, world design and direction are flawless…. But it’s the emotional stakes that really ground it.

The writing manages to weave plot twists that create genuine tension charged with emotion. @AdityaDharFilms, you hit it out of the park. It takes guts to make and release a film 4 hours long. The audience is glued to the seat till the last frame. 🫡

@RanveerOfficial, what a performance man… The sequence with the sister in the shed is a masterclass in acting. From that beginning to the heart-wrenching climax, you mesmerized us both as Hamza and Jaskirat.

@ActorMadhavan garu, you carried the helplessness and frustration of a nation so well that we felt your sucess as ours..

DHURANDHAR is not a film , it is a QUANTUM LEAP in INDIAN CINEMA

I believe that @AdityaDharFilms has completely and single handedly changed the future of Indian cinema , be it north or south ..That’s because Duradhar is not just a film.. it is a quantum leap

What Dhurandhar achieves is not just scale, but a never before experienced vision not just in sight but in the mind . Aditya Dhar doesn’t direct scenes here… he engineers the states of minds of both the characters and us audience
The film doesn’t ask for your attention.. it commands it. From the very first shot , there’s a sense that something irreversible has been set in motion, and the audience is no longer a spectator but an accomplice to the happenings on screen

This is a film that refuses to be polite. The writing cuts with intent, the staging breathes menace, and the silences are as weaponized as the thunderous sound effects . Dhar understands that power in storytelling is not volume… it’s pressure building . Every sequence feels compressed, like a spring being wound never knowing when it will snap . And when it does, the impact is not just brutal but it is also symphonically operatic

The Performances in the film aren’t designed to be liked but they’re designed to linger long after we leave the theatre .. Characters walk in carrying history on their shoulders, and the film trusts the audience enough to read their scars rather than spoon feed their backstories. This confidence which could be easily mistaken for arrogance is precisely what marks Dhurandhar as a turning point for Indian cinema . Dhar assumes that the audience are intelligent which is the highest respect a director can pay to an audience , whereas most film makers believe in dumbing down their films

Technically, the film redraws the grammar of mainstream Indian cinema. The sound design doesn’t decorate scenes, it stalks them. The camera doesn’t observe but it circles it like a predator. Action here isn’t choreography for applause.. it’s perspectively justified and extremely ugly , the way real violence should feel.

But beyond craft, what truly elevates Dhurandhar is its intent. This is not a film chasing trends or validation. It is a solemn declaration, that Indian cinema doesn’t need to dilute itself to become successful and doesn’t need to mindlessly copy Hollywood. Dhar proved that it can be rooted and still be internationally cinematic.

When the final credits roll, you don’t feel just entertained, you feel altered. And that’s the mark of a filmmaker who isn’t just making movies, but he is reshaping the very ground that all us film makers stand on.

‘ધુરંધર’ તો કલાકારોની એક્ટિંગ છે!

આદિત્ય ધરની એક સ્ટાઈલ છે. એ પોતે ફિલ્મ ડીરેક્ટ કરી રહ્યા હોય કે ન હોય તેમની ફિલ્મો પ્રકરણો (chapters) અનુસાર ચાલતી હોય છે. સાડા ત્રણ કલાક લાંઆઆઆબી એવી એમની તાજી ફિલ્મ ‘ધુરંધર’ પણ સાત પ્રકરણો ધરાવતી ફિલ્મ છે. વ્યક્તિગત રીતે હું માનું છું કે ફિલ્મ ભલે ધીમી ચાલતી હોય પરંતુ ઘટનાઓ એક પછી એક આવવા-જવા લાગે તો તે કો�� ફાસ્ટ ચાલતી સ્ક્રિપ્ટ જેવી જ મજા આપતી હોય છે. ‘ધુરંધર’નું પણ એવું જ છે.

વાર્તા

વાર્તા 1999નાં કંદહાર હાઈજેક પરથી ધડો લઈને દેશના ઈન્ટેલીજન્સ દ્વારા આકાર પામેલી એક યોજના પર આધારિત છે. આ યોજના અનુસાર ભારતના જાસૂસોને છેક પાકિસ્તાનની ગુનાની દુનિયાનાં તળ સુધી પહોંચાડીને તેને નષ્ટ કરવાની છે. આ ફિલ્મનાં અંતે આ યોજનાને મુદ્દાસર સ્પષ્ટ કરવામાં આવી છે એટલે અહીં વધુ આગળ નથી કહેતો. તો, આ યોજના હેઠળ ભ���રતનો એક જાસૂસ પાકિસ્તાનની અંધારી આલમમાં ઘૂસે છે અને પછી એનું કામ કરે છે. ફિલ્મની આ આટલી વાર્તા છે.

રિવ્યુ

ફિલ્મ ઘણાંને ધીમી લાગી શકે છે. પરંતુ આપણે સતત એ યાદ રાખવાનું છે કે ‘ધુરંધર’ એ બે ભાગમાં બનેલી ફિલ્મ છે અને આ તો એનો પહેલો જ ભાગ છે. આથી આ ભાગ ભારતીય ઇન્ટેલિજન્સનો મોટીવ અને પછી તેને ધીરેધીરે કેવી રીતે અમલમાં મુકવામાં આવ્યો તેની વિગતવાર જાણકારી આપે છે. એક રીતે જોવા જઈએ તો ફિલ્મની છેલ્લી વીસ મિનીટમાં જ પ્રથમ ટાર્ગેટને ઘાત કરવાની યોજના અમલી બનાવાય છે. આથી ત્રણ કલાક અને દસ મિનીટ તો એ આખી યોજનાને ઘડવામાં જ નીકળી જાય છે. પણ આ બધું નજર સમક્ષ થવું એ રસપ્રદ છે એટલે કંટાળો નથી આવતો.

‘ધુરંધર’ને જો કોઈએ કંટાળાજનક નથી બનવા દીધી તો તેના ડાયરેક્શને અને તેનાં અભિનેતાઓન���ં અભિનયે. આદિત્ય ધરે ફિલ્મનું ‘પેકેજીંગ’ જ એવું કર્યું છે કે તમને બધી વસ્તુ રીલેટ થાય. વાત જ કંદહાર હાઈજેકીંગથી શરુ થાય, પછી એમાં પાર્લામેન્ટ એટેક અને છેવટે 26/11 પણ આવી જાય એટલે તમે તમારી સીટ પર ચીટકીને બેસી જ રહો. વચ્ચે વચ્ચે ગીતો પણ આવી જાય જે કોઈ પણ મસાલા ફિલ્મ માટે જરૂરી છે.

વધુ મજા આવે છે મારી પેઢીના દર્શકોને. અહીં ‘હવા હવા’, ‘દમ મારો દમ’, ‘રંભા હો હો હો’ જેવાં ગીતો કે પછી ‘કર્ઝ’નાં ‘ઓમ શાંતિ ઓમ’ ગીતની ટયુન આ બધાં સંગીત ટુકડાઓ એવી એવી જગ્યાઓએ ફીટ કરવામાં આવ્યાં છે કે એમ થાય કે વાહ! જલસો પડી ગયો. આ ઉપરાંત એક જગ્યાએ બલોચ ભાષાનું કોઈ ગીત બેકગ્રાઉન્ડમાં વાગે છે એની ટ્યૂન પણ પગ થરકાવી દે છે.

પરંતુ, આ ફિલ્મને ચીટકુ બનાવવા પાછળ કોઈનો મોટો હાથ હોય તો એ એના કલાકારોનો છે. આપણે એક પછી એક કલાકારો અને તેમની એક્ટિંગ વિષે હવે જાણીશું.

સારા અર્જુન – સચિન તેંદુલકરનાં બંને સંતાનોનાં નામનું મિશ્રણ ધરાવતી આ એક્ટર એ બોલિવૂડમાં નાના-મોટાં રોલ કરનાર રાજ અર્જુનની પુત્રી છે. ક્યૂટ લાગે છે અને એક્ટિંગ પણ કરી જાય છે. એકાદ સીનમાં રણવીર સાથે અને અન્ય કલાકારો સાથે ચમકારો દેખાડી જાય છે. રણવીર કરતાં ખાસ્સી નાની લાગે છે, પણ ફિલ્મમાં એમ જ કહેવામાં આવ્ય��ં છે કે એ તેનાથી ઘણી નાની છે.

આર. માધવન – આપણી જાસૂસી સંસ્થા ‘રૉ’ નાં ચીફ તરીકે માધવન જામે છે. હજી એમને ગયાં મહીને જ ‘દે દે પ્યાર દે 2’માં અલમસ્ત કોમેડી કરતાં જોયાં હતાં અને આ ફિલ્મમાં તેઓ એક નાનકડું સ્મિત પણ નથી ફરકાવતાં એટલી વિશાળ રેન્જ તેમણે દર્શાવી છે. બીજું તેમનાં ભાગે અમુક જ સિન્સ આવ્યાં છે પણ જે સિન્સ આવ્યાં છે એમાં તેમણે તેમનું મહત્વ દર્શાવ્યું છે. ખાસ કરીને જ્યારે એક મંત્રીનાં ભ્રષ્���ાચારની વાત આવે છે ત્યારે અને કંદહારનાં પ્લેનની અંદરવાળા સીનમાં.

અર્જુન રામપાલ – મેજર ઇકબાલનાં ઘાતકી રોલમાં અર્જુન રામપાલ જેને એક સમયે ‘એવરેજ એક્ટર’ ગણી લેવામાં આવ્યો હતો એ પોતાની ક્રુરતા દેખાડી જાય છે. ફિલ્મનાં ટ્રેલરમાં આવેલો પહેલો સીન જ્યારે ફિલ્મમાં આવે છે ત્યારે તેની ક્રૂરતા ચરમસીમાએ દેખાડવામાં અર્જુન રામપાલ સફળ જાય છે.

સંજય દત્ત – કરાંચીનાં એન્કાઉન્ટર સ્પેશીયાલીસ્ટ એસ.પી ચૌધરી અસલમમાં સંજય દત્તનો વટ પડે છે. ખાસ કરીને જે સીનમાં એની એન્ટ્રી પડે છે એ ટીપીકલ સંજય દત્ત સ્ટાઈલ છે અને એમાં ખૂબ મજા પડે છે. આ ઉપરાંત રણવીર સાથેની કેમિસ્ટ્રી જે બહુ ઓછાં દ્રશ્યોમાં આવે છે એ પણ જોરદાર છે. અક્ષય ખન્ના સાથેનાં એનાં દ્રશ્યો જોરદાર.

રાકેશ બેદી – આ કલાકારને મારી પેઢી ‘ચશ્મે બદ્દૂર’ અને ‘યે જો હૈ ઝિંદગી’નાં સમયથી નાનાં-મોટાં રોલ્સમાં જોવે છે. હવે એ આદિત્ય ધરનું કન્વિક્શન કહો કે જે કહો પણ આ ફિલ્મમાં રાકેશ બેદીને આટલો લાંબો અને મહત્વનો રોલ આપીને ધરે ચમત્કાર કરી દીધો છે. પાકિસ્તાનના ખંધા રાજકારણી તરીકે રાકેશ બેદી ફક્ત જામતા જ નથી પણ આપણાં મનમાં એક ચિરંજીવ છાપ છોડી જાય છે. આ ઉપરાંત સમગ્ર ફિલ્મમાં હળવાશ ફક્ત રાકેશ બેદી જ આપે છે જે એમનાં રોલને મહત્વનો બનાવવા માટે એક બીજો પ્લસ પોઈન્ટ છે.

રણવીર સિંહ – ફિલ્મનું ટાઈટલ એનાં નામે હોવાં છતાં એને છેલ્લેથી બીજા ક્રમે મુક���ાનું કારણ અંતિ�� કલાકાર વિષે કહીશ ત્યારે ખ્યાલ આવી જશે. રણવીરની છબી તોફાની, બેજવાબદાર વ્યક્તિની છે. પરંતુ કાયમ એવું જોવા મળ્યું છે કે જ્યારે તે કેમેરાની સામે આવે છે ત્યારે રંગ જમાવે છે. આ ફિલ્મમાં રણવીરે જબરદસ્ત અન્ડર પ્લે કર્યું છે અને ફિલ્મની છેલ્લી વીસ મિનીટ સુધી તો આ એની ફિલ્મ હોય જ નહીં અને ફક્ત અન્ય કલાકારોને સાથ સહકાર જ આપતો હોય એવું લાગે. આશા છે કે બીજા ભાગમાં રણવીર પોતાનો અસલી રંગ દેખાડશે. બીજું, એક સીન જેમાં ભારતનો સહુથી મોટો આંતકી હુમલો તે પાકિસ્તાનીઓ વચ્ચે ઉભો રહીને જુએ છે તેમાં રણવીરની એક્ટિંગની ક્ષમતા મપાઈ જાય છે.

અક્ષય ખન્ના – આ કલાકાર હિરો બનવા માટે કદાચ જન્મ્યો જ ન હતો. પરંતુ ‘તાલ’માં એની એક્ટિંગ જોઇને હું એનો ફેન જરૂર થઇ ગયો હતો. છેલ્લાં અમુક વર્ષોથી સાવ અલગ રોલ્સ કરવા માટે જાણીતો અક્ષય ખન્ના આ ફિલ્મને પોતાના ખભે એકલી ઉપાડી જાય છે એમ કહીએ તો જરાય અતિશયોક્તિ નહીં હોય. ફક્ત હોઠના વળાંકો અને ભ્રમરો હલાવીને અક્ષય ખન્ના રેહમાન ��કૈતને જીવી ગયો છે. શરીરમાં પણ બહુ મજબૂત ન દેખાતો અક્ષય જ્યારે સંજય દત્ત જેવા બાહુબળ ધરાવતાં કલાકાર સાથે ફાઈટ કરે છે ત્યારે જરાય નબળો નથી લાગતો. આ ફિલ્મ અક્ષય ખન્નાની જ છે એમ કહીએ તો જરાય ખોટું નથી.

ઉપસંહાર

‘ધુરંધર’ એ લોકોને જરૂર ગમશે જેને દેશની સુરક્ષા એજન્સીઓ ઉપર ગર્વ છે. ‘ધુરંધર’ એ લોકોને જરૂર ગમશે જેમને પોતાના ભારતીય હોવા પર ગર્વ છે. ‘ધુરંધર’ એવા લોકોને જરૂર ગમશે જે હજારો ‘અજાણ્યા વ્��ક્તિઓ’ મૂંગા મોઢે પાકિસ્તાનમાં જઈને ભારતને નુકસાન પહોંચાડનારાઓનો ખાત્મો કરે છે.

‘ધુરંધર’ એવા વ્યક્તિઓને ‘એવરેજ’ લાગશે જે હજી પણ ‘અમન કી આશા’નું નપુંસક ગાણું ગાવા માંગે છે. ‘ધુરંધર’ એવા વ્યક્તિઓને જરાય નહીં ગમે જે ફક્ત સોફ્ટ સોફ્ટ ફિલ્મો જ જોવા માંગે છે અને જીઓપોલિટિક્સનું નગ્ન સત્ય ધરાર ઇગ્નોર કરવા માંગે છે. એવા લોકો ‘ધુરંધર’ જોવાની ના પાડશે જે કોઈ એક એજન્ડા હેઠળ, જેના વિષે યામિ ગૌત��ે ગઈકાલે કહ્યું હતું, ફક્ત પૈસા લઈને અથવાતો જેમને કોઈ ફિલ્મ ભારતને મજબૂત કેમ દેખાડે એ��ો વિરોધ કરવો જ રહ્યો એવું મનમાં લઈને બેઠાં હોય.
