Did someone say kpc scale gas properties of cluster galaxies?...Me!
Our new paper from the @almaobs VERTICO survey is out today, showing how environmental mechanisms reduce the atomic and molecular gas in the central regions of Virgo galaxies. https://t.co/MyLwpHuOni
In our latest ESO blog post Adam Watts (@awattsup_) from @ICRAR@ARC_ASTRO3D discusses these spectacular outflows from NGC 4383 revealed by the MAUVE survey, an Australian-led @ESO Large Programme. https://t.co/mLy0uW9S7F
🌌 Explosive discovery as astronomers unveil first high-res map of galaxy explosion in galaxy NGC 4383, shedding light on intergalactic chemistry. Gas outflow spans 20,000 light-years💥 @ICRAR#UWA@ESO@awattsup_@astroquokka

I wrote an article for @ConversationEDU covering our latest research paper about a massive gas outflow from a nearby galaxy.
Check it out below! #space#science#astronomy#galaxies

MAUVE survey astronomers @awattsup_, Barbara Catinella & @astroquokka have used @ESO's VLT to map the gas streaming from nearby galaxy NGC 4383, showing how the space between galaxies fills with elements - and giving clues to why star formation stops. https://t.co/XEnp492kpS
So, this research is outside my usual bubble, but is something I’m incredibly passionate about: #ScienceEducation and #WomenInSTEM
We did a study and found a clear gender bias in senior high school science curricula across Australia.

ASTRO 3D Postdoctoral Researcher Dr Rebecca Davies, based @Swinburne, has led research that found a rapid increase in warm carbon, which could be the product of the first generations of stars forming 13 billion years ago https://t.co/ynA0wOBTha #astronomy#astrophysics#astro3d
ICRAR #researchers have discover tantalising evidence of magnetic fields in the universe’s largest cosmic structures!
This incredible work by @tvern23 and her team could be used to refine our theories on how the #universe grows.

@photonhandler Got my first ~3 months before my thesis submission, and have had 3 in the last year. I guess my field would have been considered a bit more of a niche in astronomy though, so more chance of a paper coming my way 🤷🏻♂️
Zotero has saved me countless hours dealing with references, has helped me keep all my papers in the same place, and has helped me find references and information so much quicker!
This thread is an amazing introduction but I wanted to add a few astro-centric notes: 🧵
Read my latest research on #malaria, published with @Nature in @SciReports. This work highlights the importance of using #machinelearning and advanced #statisticalmodeling in predicting the spread of infectious diseases (here malaria in Sudan). (1/N) https://t.co/EPMzOwwOeF
