In October 1864, Maryland narrowly approved a new constitution that abolished slavery.

The vote, which saw Confederates barred from voting, still narrowly failed within the state. However, the Union Soldier vote secured a narrow majority.

🔵Biden - 65,779,427 (44.3%)
⚪️Other - 5,852,208 (3.9%)
