This NITA bill may have accidentally done one useful thing, that’s unite a significant part of Ghana’s tech ecosystem across generations around a common cause.
I hope this advocacy becomes bigger than just this moment.
Because the next time there’s policy nonsense to push back against, or something worth collectively fighting for, we shouldn’t have to build the coalition from scratch.
A stronger unified front should come out of this.
You can say water is wet and @samgeorgegh will come and say alcohol dries things up.
Always setting his own questions and answering.
Then he'll do a dance and post himself as a "winner".
It's quite embarrassing at this point.
@NITAGhana that is not true. Your bill covers private sector.
Don't lie to us.
If the proposal has changed, give us the update.
Don't lie to our faces.
We are not idiots.
@NITAGhana What does this Clause mean in you bill amendment if your focus is on Public institutions?
Are you gaslighting us? Or you are not aware of what is in your bill?
The Ministry of Interior website has been hacked. If government agencies cannot secure their own systems, how can citizens trust that their data and digital services are safe? Instead of focusing on building better systems, their focus is on license fees and threatening punishment for non-compliance. Ghana needs reliable systems that actually work. We deserve better.
