Our children are quietly dropping one of the most important Cultural things we brought from home.
In Canada 🇨🇦 , a lot of kids (White, Indian, Filipino) will walk past you at school, on the sidewalk or in the grocery store and act like they don’t know you.
Plenty Nigerian children have now copied that same behaviour.
I went to my children’s school. A Nigerian boy whose parents I know, and who knows me, almost walked straight into me on the walkway. No greeting. Nothing.
Another one: I sent a 17-year-old Nigerian boy a polite message:
“Hello Kunle, how are you? Can you schedule my barbing for Sunday after church?”
His reply: “Hi”
That’s it.
Where did the respect go?
Greeting is not “old school.” It is character. It is how we show we see people.
Parents in the diaspora; how are you teaching your children to greet elders and people they know, even in a foreign land?
This is Dr. Von Batten. A short time ago, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, through his lobbyists, accused me of “profiting from chaos.” I will address my response directly to President #Tinubu and not his lobbyists because, as lobbyists, they are simply doing their job.
Your Excellency, @officialABAT, I am glad we have your attention. However, instead of focusing on me, I recommend you focus on the Nigerian people; a proud people who, under your presidency, are struggling to pay rent, buy food, afford school fees, and live in constant fear of being kidnapped or murdered. Increasingly, it appears that remaining in power has become a greater priority for your government than serving the interests of the #Nigerian people.
This stands in sharp contrast to former Nigerian Vice President @atiku, whose instructions to us have been clear: protect the right of all Nigerians to free and fair elections and bring international attention to the worsening insecurity devastating the country.
Let me also be clear: hiring a white lobbying firm will not shield your government from U.S. scrutiny. By the grace of Almighty God, we will continue working to ensure accountability for the murders of innocent Christians and Muslims in Northern Nigeria, and we will continue pushing for U.S. attention on the reported ongoing attempts to rig the upcoming Nigerian presidential election.

Hantavirus just killed a Dutch man, his wife and a German guy.
This is just the beginning.
In the next two years, hundreds of thousands of people are going to lose their lives.
COVID was NOTHING compared to Hantavirus.
Lockdowns are returning.
There's already a fuel crisis as we speak in many countries.
Food supplies will collapse.
Crime,robberies, murders.
Everything will be normalized.
The streets will turn into war zones.
Riots. Chaos. Burning cars.
Governments will start collapsing under the pressure.
Trillions will be printed.
The poor will get poorer.
Even the middle class will not be able to afford food more than once a day.
But a few industries and a few men will get absurdly rich.
A new world is coming.
Amupitan must still go.
God exposed him prematurely or he would have snuck his way through rigged elections to reelect Bola Tinubu with an undeserved second term.
A Professor of Law that couldn’t interpret judgement until APC lawyers wrote to him and twisted the interpretation.
Personally and not speaking for anyone else:
I will vote for the united opposition coalition candidate in 2027 to remove Bola Tinubu from further destroying our lives as Nigerians.
I prefer Atiku Abubakar as candidate but my vote is for any candidate against Tinubu.
