Visa Issues for IMGs:

I was subjected to AP twice:
J1➡️ 3️⃣ months during PGY- 3️⃣
H1➡️ 4️⃣ months Post Residency

Both times my wife(resident) and daughters were in USA without me.

❇️ I became off-cycle
✳️ Couldn't be considered for Chief Resident Post.
✳️ Couldn't Pursue Fellowship

It should change.

We have requested @ECFMG_J1 many times to advocate for stamping J1 for the duration of training like F1(student visa) visa or allow renewals within USA.

29 yrs ago a baby girl was abandoned in a baby carriage at the Edhi Orphanage in Karachi, Pakistan. #BilquisEdhi took her under her wings & named her after her mother, Rabia Bano.

29 yrs later, Rabia Bano has not only successfully shifted to the US, but she also completed her education there. She interned at esteemed places like even Congress! Today, she works at Nike, one of the world’s biggest companies out there. Rabia Bano got where she is with a Masters in Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Law.

This is one of the many lives changed by Bilquis Edhi. She was Pakistan’s ‘mother of orphans’ who saved thousands of babies from infanticide.
May Allah elevate her status in heaven.
