Residents of Mumbai's Khar area have accused the Unicontinental Hotel of using a public footpath near Khar railway station as a private parking area. According to local residents and the Khar Citizens Collective, vehicles, benches and other structures have allegedly blocked the pathway for more than six months, forcing pedestrians onto the road. Multiple complaints have reportedly been submitted to civic and police authorities, but residents claim the issue continues.
The controversy has attracted attention because the hotel is linked to entrepreneur Balraj Ghai, who is known for his association with comedian Samay Raina. The hotel management had not issued a public response to the allegations at the time of publication.

Locals allege Unicontinental hotel illegally encroached on a Khar footpath, using it as private parking and blocking pedestrians for years.
Last year, after a political mob vandalised the property, civic action against unauthorised structures sparked debate online. Officials now promise fresh anti-encroachment and parking action.

Dear @SEBI_India,
The BoAt is sinking. BoAt’s revenue dropped in FY25, yet it suddenly reported a ₹60 crore profit and is now planning to launch its IPO soon.

Co-founder Sameer Mehta resigned as CEO, and Aman Gupta resigned as CMO just 29 days before the company filed for its IPO.
The founders are distancing themselves from operational responsibilities right before going public.
There are many holes in this boat.
