Contrast this to the US (though I am generally not one to elevate another country at the expense of India) - there is a culture of saluting public servants for their service. Hope that India builds something similar. (4/4)

Sad to see the lack of recognition to public servants in India for their efforts and sacrifices in the battle against COVID. Our society's default is to disparage the public sector (politicians and govt. employees) and lionize the private sector. (1/4)

At the same time, I and other private sector workers have had the privilege of "working from home". We earn much more money and have the flexibility to step back in such situations. (3/4)
