Part of my thesis project is now published in @ActaBio! #micropattern traction #microscopy of vascular endothelial and smooth muscle cells on varying stiffness substrates reveals that focal adhesion displacement determines their tensional stability. Super excited to share it!
Focal adhesion displacement magnitude is a unifying feature of tension... https://t.co/6Hrp5PlVBe
We're fascinated by the ability of cells to regulate their tension, which also dictates their stiffness, but the mechanism has been elusive. Focal adhesions provide a clue.
HiTS Director Peter Sorger gave an #AACR24 plenary talk about using high-resolution 3D multiplexed tissue imaging 🔬 to uncover the heterogeneous immune landscape of precancerous and metastatic melanoma.

Happy #OpenScience Friday! Always great to share the work of our friends @HiTSatHarvard making image data available through @theNCI and code not only on @github but archived on @ZENODO_ORG! 👏🏼 You can implement these better #DataSharing practices too!
🌟Today in @NatureCancer, we present an advance in #ColorectalCancer and #SpatialBiology!
Our study reveals the power of multimodal imaging for deeper molecular insights. Congrats @JiaRenLin, Yu-An Chen, @RareCyte, @SantagataLab, and Peter Sorger! 🧵

Got to tell a story with this beautiful data with my coworkers @TuuliaVallius , Clarence Yapp and John Hoffer!
And you can too! Minerva is an open-access tool on GitHub!
This data is published in https://t.co/6J5ZOsk6z0 and can be accessed on #HTAN Data Portal.
🆕 RDM News Post! Read our latest interview with Data Managers Sarah Arena and Allison Maier @HiTSatHarvard. Read about their work with large, interdisciplinary data and supporting good data management practices, one step at a time: https://t.co/xs3GrElHSY
I got the chance to present my research to a group of students from Roxbury prep HS that are participating in the @HMS_MEDscience program. It was an honor to work alongside @azureneverfades to help shape these bright young scientists-to-be.

@LauraKonig17 and I had a great time working with students from Roxbury prep HS, in a collab with @HMS_MEDscience! They performed a BCA assay and learned about how it is used in Alzheimer's research🧠 #thefutureofneuroscience#STEMeducation @HiTSatHarvard
