@EndgameaiChess If anything I'd take away the one rating spot. Rating is too easily manipulated. FIDE Circuit is where it's at. Multiple strong performance against fellow super GMs over a period of a year (or more).

@RealFrattaro @elsleightholm As a layman "I can divide any number with any number" makes sense, but in mathematics, a divides b has a very specific meaning. The students are expected to know and be able to use these definitions.

Your questions are completely valid from someone who isn't familiar with mathematical language, but competitors of IMO are expected some basic understanding of mathematical (formal) language.
