@1goodtern Arrested, or the elderly man who was arrested in his boxer shorts in the cold (until they later realized he was NOT the sex offender they claimed he was). Not everyone is seeing how bad it really is, and that needs to change.
@1goodtern That's why the https://t.co/YOYdE9ZLoh site is the place to go - it will point your to ways to support those folks who are financially at risk.
AND: Make sure people know what's happening here. Not just the murders, but the 5-year-old who was used as bait and then (2/)

@FurFamilyCats There are also some cats who are social eaters - they really want company. So you could see if she'll eat from a dish if you are sitting with her. Regardless, so glad she's eating!
BREAKING: Scientists are staging a “science fair” in the lobby of a Congressional building to tell elected officials about the critical knowledge the US will lose because their research grants have been canceled.

RFK Jr. just fired the entire U.S. vaccine advisory committee, the experts who guide national immunization policy.
This isn’t reform. It’s a full-blown dismantling of science in public health.
@1goodtern relentless in advocating for public health, and taking the truth as he sees it, no matter now unpopular it is. Please don't falsely malign one of the voices trying to help us in the US navigate this mess of a moment.
@1goodtern I love most of what you say, but you are misunderstanding what he said. He said that IF covid were actually just like a cold, he'd be fine with people getting it twice a year, but it's not a cold. He sometimes stumbles on his speech. I don't always agree with him, but he is (1/)
You can do everything right and still become disabled. You can eat right, exercise, take vitamins, get sun, and still become disabled. No one is immune to disability. We’re all vulnerable. The sooner you acknowledge that, the sooner you’ll realize accessibility benefits everyone.
@Recluce11@crits4cats If there is any chance of FIP, early treatment is key. Often they just use the treatment as a diagnostic bc there's no definitive FIP test. This group can help assess and even help source emergency meds if you want. You can get just a little to see if it helps.
@Recluce11@crits4cats There is a legal treatment for FIP now, but a lot of vets aren't really up on it, since it's only been legal for a year in the US. If you are at all wondering about FIP, go to https://t.co/9FmLJ4Ojh3 Tons of info, plus link to the FB group where experts can help assess bloodwork.
@acrossthemersey I'm not at the gym yet, but I went back to my choir about 2 years ago. One of the only maskers, in N95 that fits me well. No covid or other resp illness. And we're much closer together than ppl at the gym. I think it's a reasonable risk.
@jdibon@Nicole_ZBS Yeah, no. I would suggest that the best way to get diagnosed is to look for local EDS support groups (eg on Facebook) and ask other patients who specifically diagnosed them. Not a single MN doctor who diagnoses is a rheumatologist.
A tumultuous 24-ish hours since our preprint was released yesterday. I mentioned that this was a fraught issue and I genuinely do understand that people have mixed feelings about the work. I wanted to take some time to respond to some of the concerns and comments that have 1/
