Ahead of the work soon to begin on George Square, the 11 bronze statues there were removed for their restoration and return next year.
Watch to hear about their restoration from conservation experts Rupert Harris Conservation and Cllr @AngusCMillar 📹👇
I raised the shocking decision to close Flourish House in Woodlands with @MareeToddMSP.
This mental health recovery community provides a vital service for those who rely on it.
The Scottish Government should step in and save this service.
I am honoured to have been nominated by @theSNP members to stand for selection in the newly expanded Glasgow Anniesland constituency.
If selected, I’ll work to help put independence at the heart of the SNP’s 2026 Holyrood campaign, and use my experience to stand up for Glasgow.
500 new on-street cycle storage units are coming in early next year thanks to @cyclehoop
The new units mark a significant expansion of the popular cycle storage scheme & will provide up to 3000 extra safe, secure storage spaces for cyclists in tenements.

The active travel link will run parallel to Buchanan Street, creating a north-south connection between Cowcaddens Road and Argyle Street.

I am pleased that the new year will see a consultation on Glasgow’s taxi license caps.
Building confidence in the availability of late night transport options is key to supporting the city centre economy, and this conversation will guide the future of the city’s taxi provision .
The next phase of the Avenues programme will begin early next year with improvement works at Cowcaddens Road, South Portland Street and Duke Street. Find out more 👇

More good news for those on the recent @newglasgowsoc & @GlasgowHeritage#DerelictGlasgow walk = consent was given last week for the upper floor conversion of 217-221 Argyle Street into offices with Sexy Coffee opening on the ground floor. It’s been vacant since 2013 🤔! 1/2
After much persistence, a team of us have managed to save around half of the 1980 Metro-Cammell Glasgow Subway cars from the scrap yard.
A huge thanks to @BenDC_ for his relentless work to secure deals for these much loved little trains for and project managing their re-homing.
