Who is True Mother?
She is the Only Begotten Daughter of God — the one prepared to complete the mission Jesus began.

For more than 80 years, she has lived a life of absolute love, sacrifice, and devotion to God’s dream of One Family Under God.

She is a global peace leader,
a humanitarian who has embraced all humankind, and a mother who has carried the suffering of Heaven.

The world deserves to know who she is.

At fifteen, on an Easter morning, Rev. Sun Myung Moon received Jesus’ calling and inherited the mission to save all humanity. Throughout his life, and together with Dr. Hak Ja Han, he walked a path of complete sacrifice—at times even sacrificing their beloved children—for the sake of God and humankind.

Though God created humanity as His good children, the mistakes of the first ancestors brought suffering to all humankind. To restore everyone as true sons and daughters of God, they devoted themselves with unconditional love as True Parents, embracing all without discrimination—political leaders, religious figures, and even those abandoned in remote places—shedding blood, sweat, and tears for their sake.

The special prosecutor accuses them of using political power, yet they built global organizations without any government’s support and often under severe persecution. This was possible only because God had been with them.

True Parents give everyone trust and opportunity; how each person uses it—for God’s Will or for selfish gain—is their own responsibility.

We pray that the present situation will be resolved according to God’s Will.

82-year-old Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon—revered as the "Mother of Peace"—is the oldest person ever in the world to be detained pre-trial.

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon's case at age 82 is exceptional not just in South Korea but worldwide. Pre-trial detention (i.e., held in custody during investigation before a full trial) for political crimes like bribery or corruption is rare for individuals over 80 due to humanitarian considerations, health exemptions, and alternatives like house arrest or bail.

Globally, such cases often involve former leaders from countries with aggressive anti-corruption drives (e.g., Peru, South Korea, South Africa), but documented instances peak in the 70s, with Han holding the record for age.

International norms (e.g., UN Mandela Rules) emphasize alternatives to detention for the elderly to avoid health risks. Peru leads in prosecuting ex-leaders (5 of last 6 presidents implicated in Odebrecht scandal), but even there, ages top out at 80. In democracies like the US/UK, pre-trial detention for white-collar political crimes is uncommon regardless of age—bail is standard unless flight risk is high.

Even after her recent eye surgery which requires 4-6 weeks of recovery, request for extension on her temporary release was denied by South Korean government. Today is Day 46 of her detainment.
