If artists create character models, backgrounds and other assets and the AI tools is used to help with production inside of animation applications why is that bad?

If AI were nationalized and people had their basic needs met/environmental concerns were addressed, is AI as an art tool still "bad?"

It feels like this is the real issue and instead of addressing that we waste energy arguing the artistic merit

As a professional designer, I use AI for scripting and formatting quickly.

I could use the pen tool to mask an object or click the 'Select Subject' button and save 30 minutes.

It helps me focus on the creative aspect of my job and automates the mundane.
