These children were being eaten alive by insects day and night.

When we visited Amani and her family in the Migratory Birds Camp in Khan Younis, we found a tent overwhelmed by flies, mites, and fleas. The children were covered in bites, struggling through endless itching, discomfort, and sleepless nights. Their bedding was infested. They had no hygiene supplies to protect themselves, no kitchen utensils to prepare food, and very little to ease the daily hardship of displacement.

The suffering in Gaza is not only from the bombs and destruction. It is also the slow, relentless erosion of dignity that comes from living without the most basic necessities.

On June 17, The Sameer Project responded by providing a tent, food parcel, hygiene parcel, fresh fruits and vegetables, kitchen utensils, three mattresses, clothing, and floor mats, at a total cost of $442 after commission.

These items are all protection. They are dignity. They are a small measure of relief for families enduring impossible conditions.
