The Cobra Effect
When India was still a British colony, they wanted to fix the problem of too many cobras in India
They began offering cash payments for dead cobras
Locals realized the profit opportunity and started breeding cobras just to kill them and turn them in for cash
The government solution to eliminate cobras actually created the incentivize to INCREASE cobra population
Now you won't be able to stop seeing The Cobra Effect everywhere the government is involved
Motion should communicate state, continuity, or truthful progress; not merely perform the visual language of AI.
This screen stalls for 2s, then spends 4s revealing text. It makes the product feel slow, not smart.
@EgemEraslan, are you measuring how many users leave before sec 6?
@nikitabier small but high-friction UX bug: I read the Following timeline in order but tapping “show more posts” loses my exact scroll position. I then have to hunt for where I left off. Please preserve the current post as the scroll anchor when loading more
@BoraOzkent “If you're using twice as many tokens for the same amount of intelligence, then the price is effectively the same.”

@didiomario Since Wi-Fi offload itself isn’t exclusive, and carriers can already use owned/partner Wi-Fi, Passpoint, venue networks, etc., is Helium’s edge mainly about making third-party offload supply more scalable, verifiable, and economically attractive?
@didiomario The real difference might be capital recovery: 5G monetization lagged, so operators may be less eager to fund another dense RAN cycle. Offload becomes the lower-CAPEX path.

@jhiller It’s still doing compaction, can’t be lossless for sure. I just feel like it is tolerating it much better.
To be fair; I switched to codex months ago; comparing past experience of claudecode with codex.
