A lil update for all those who have worked alongside my service dog, Koda. Last month, she unexpectedly had to be medically retired. Koda gave her entire life to give me the life I always dreamt of, rising to every occasion, and now I get to care for her through retirement.
She is enjoying her retirement so far but it is clear she misses working. As for me, I am starting the very long process of applying for her successor. Until then, I can no longer live independently without the help of a service dog.
All journalists have wild election night stories and reminisce on years past. But I raise you becoming paralyzed on the last B.C. provincial election night. Nothing spookier than reliving that day four years later.

Hi I really want to write a fun lil light-hearted piece aka PR peeps this is your time to shine. Woo me.
I typically cover disability, housing and other equity issues. But I have been known to dabble in dating, arts and other lifestyle pieces. Send me your best good news.
callout: I am looking to speak to disabled folks who have navigated canadian healthcare. Particularly, those who have faced barriers re the built environment or access to accessible medical equipment. DM's are open or send feel free to me an email at [email protected].
Hey @InstagramComms, I have sent a few emails to the address in your bio but have been unable to get in touch. Is there an alternate email I should be using? #journorequest

A new poll from @19thnews/@SurveyMonkey found that nearly half of disabled women reported experiencing sexual harassment or assault in the workplace at some point.
More shockingly (to me), this was possibly the first time a pollster bothered to ask. https://t.co/dZkkWzJr56
