@debsnet We are also giving ourselves permission to go slow and explore these ideas across the year. We’ve redesigned our staff APL process- reforming our strategic goals to allow teachers to continue developing any ideas from our online experience. Excited to see what emerges!
Framing our staff reflective practice this year around these exact questions!! In fact tweeting from a staff meeting (naughty) where this is the topic! Working through processes to have the discussion with our students as well. @debsnet
@debsnet We’re looking at several levels our whole school practices but also as individuals. So far common themes include decluttering & prioritising the curriculum, challenges around engaging disengaged students and the potential of self paced learning in developing independent learners
@kathryn_yeates@LoueldoLou just heard a great phrase for an outcome/indicator of our JET and SET- students who can say “we know how to take charge of our own education” #iOTF6
@nickjohnstone08@amuseED@_RufusBlack Interesting, I’ll check out the research. If you can, check out the research from flinders uni in SA that has measured success in the research project (our yr 12 individual study focussed on capabilities) as a much stronger indication of uni attrition and attainment
#OZCAS19 Peter Hutton questioning the ATAR - Our system angled to prepare students to attain a single score - yet so few are actually using it... what about the rest? @amuseED
@penny_terry after hearing you speak at the #WLASymp last week you’ve inspired me to not cut down my roses and wear my new Gorman splash of colour to present at my first conference in Brisbane. Being comfortable in myself! Thank you!
So proud of my team presenting our action research in middle schooling at TMC over the last few years at the Adolescent Success International conference! What an amazing bunch of educators I get to work with @TMCsalisbury#tmcpride#OZCAS19
