Subject: Concern Regarding Coolant Oil Mixing Issue – Tata Nexon (2020 Model)
Dear Tata Motors Team,
I am writing to bring to your attention a recurring and serious issue I experienced with my Tata Nexon (2020 model), whose extended warranty expired at the end of last year.
On 26th April, I noticed oil mixing in the coolant tank. Fortunately, I identified the issue early while inspecting under the bonnet. I immediately took the vehicle to an authorized service center, where the coolant mixing unit, coolant tank, and coolant were replaced. However, even after the service, residue is still being observed, indicating that the issue may not have been fully resolved.
What is more concerning is that this does not appear to be an isolated case. A large number of Nexon users—potentially thousands—have reported similar coolant oil mixing problems. During my interaction with service centers, I was informed that this could be due to a manufacturing defect in the coolant mixing unit.
Additionally, I observed that the replaced component now carries a different part number, which suggests that Tata Motors may already be aware of the issue and has made design or quality changes. If that is the case, it raises an important question as to why customers are still being asked to bear repair costs for what appears to be a widespread manufacturing defect.
In my case, I had to spend approximately ₹12,000. However, I am aware of several other customers who faced much higher expenses, including radiator replacements costing upwards of ₹40,000.
Given the scale and consistency of this issue across multiple users, I would like to request clarification on the following:
Is Tata Motors officially aware of this defect?
Has any internal investigation confirmed a manufacturing or design flaw?
What corrective or preventive actions are being taken?
Why are customers being asked to pay out-of-pocket for a widely reported issue?
Is there any plan for extended support, goodwill repair, or recall for affected vehicles?
As a customer, I chose Tata Motors for its reputation and reliability. It is disappointing to face such an issue, especially when there are indications that it may be systemic.
I strongly urge Tata Motors to take immediate action, provide transparency on the matter, and support affected customers so they are not financially burdened for a defect beyond their control.
I would appreciate your response and am available should you require any additional details.
Sincerely, Ganesh Shetty

Serious safety lapse at Jaipur Railway Station on 16 March 2026 between 9:10–9:30 AM.
Platform was announced as 1A at 9:10 AM, but two trains arrived simultaneously at Platforms 1 and 1A. Due to construction, passengers had to pass through a very narrow corridor between the platforms. People getting down and those trying to board were forced into the same passage, creating a stampede-like situation.
Children were nearly trampled and women were touched inappropriately. The passage was further blocked by porters with large luggage trolleys. Shockingly, not a single Railway Police or railway personnel was present for crowd management. Police arrived only after we complained to a staff member who called them.
Several passengers, including myself, missed our train after being stuck in the crowd for nearly 20 minutes, choosing not to worsen the dangerous situation by pushing.
Authorities should retrieve and review CCTV footage between 9:10–9:30 AM. We also have video footage. This level of mismanagement could easily lead to a disaster.

@TataMotors My just 3.5 years old Tata Nexon broke down yesterday. High temperature alarm started beeping. Upon opening the bonnet saw emulsified sludge like coolant spilled all over. SC informed this happened due to oil cooler failure. Is such failure acceptable in new car?
@TataMotors@TataMotors_Cars Same problem has happened again within 2 years. Oil cooler, thermostat and all hoses were changed last time at authorized service centre (Delight Motors,New Delhi). Really fed up of this car!
@TataMotors_Cars I had worst experience with Tata nexon , and i dont trust Tata engine anymore, very poor quality, had engine oil coolant mix in just 18k km ODO and engine stopped in the mid way... A car is worth just 18k km ODO..i promise i wont buy anymore Tata
@TataMotors_Cars @kingkalmi_ I never trust Tata a, after i had the worst experience with my Tata car , engine oil coolant mix issues at just 18k KM ODO , which Tata sc charged hefty amount on me , a car get engine gets damaged at just 18k KM ODO questions about the reliability of the engine of th Tata car
@TataMotors Oil–coolant mixing in my 2020 Nexon at 39K km (oil cooler failure). SC admitted it’s a known issue in 2020–22 Nexon models. Over 20 owners in Nexon groups reported similar cases. Charged ₹20K despite extended warranty. Why no recall for this defect? #TataNexon#Tata
@TataMotors_Cars@MHI_GoI worst service i never tata..enough i already had enough pain i bought tata nexon which i had engine oil cooler issue .worst brand , dont fool people anymore
@TataMotors_Cars@TataMotors@TataCompanies Reputation of #TATA is fully damaged due to insensitive service support. Tata sells cars owns IT company, can’t resolve iRA app issue on highest priced car #safariweek2025 Shame on you people for not able to understand query and resolve
Error codes P0845-65 and P1845-4A indicate serious transmission issues in a brand-new car.
This isn’t acceptable from a brand like Tata.
I demand a full refund or replacement, and immediate escalation from @TataMotors.

Now 1 week no proper response. they gave estimate 23K. Engine has poorly filled oil on examination, they say no guarantee on engine status. I dont need any compensation for the damage incurred by them. atleast do the repair caused by their poor service. Time is precious.
Tata Nexon broke down twice in just 18K km. Is this car really worth 18K km? How will I take the car for a long drive if this is the reliability? Say no to Tata cars. Needs Help to avoid cheating from TATA again. #Tatamotors#TataConsumer#Tatanexon
@TataMotors I gave my Tata Nexon for comprehensive service (incl. engine oil change) at your authorized center in Vijayawada.
Within 2 months, engine oil mixed with coolant—now I'm being charged ₹36,000!
Was this due to poor servicing?
Need urgent help & fair resolution.
