The curious case of Newsclick and Prabir Purkayastha story :
🔵 On 07/08/2020 An investigation by Abir Dasgupta & @paranjoygt published in the Newsclick 'Have Justice Arun Mishra's judgment helped Adani Group'.
🔵 It reported 7 Adani cases showed that Justice Arun Mishra had always ruled in favour of Adani.
🔵 On 07/09/2020 same journalists again reported "Justice Arun Mishra's Final Gift to Adani".
🔵 This reported that just before 3 days of his retirement Supreme Court Bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra approved the decision by electricity regulators to grant Adani Power “compensatory tariffs” amounting to Rs 8,000 crore for electricity generated at its power plant in Rajasthan.
🔵 It reported - This “price” of Rs 8,000 crore will be borne by electricity consumers in the cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer.
🔵 In September 2020, Adani Power Rajasthan Limited filed civil and criminal defamation suits against NewsClick.
🔵 The company sought Rs 100 crore in damages over the above mentioned two reports concerning the Supreme Court's approach to "compensatory tariffs" and the judgments favoring the conglomerate.
🔵 An Ahmedabad court immediately issued an ex-parte (without hearing the defense) interim injunction, essentially acting as a gag order restricted the website from further reporting on Adani.
🔵 Within 4 months on 09/02/2021 morning 8.00 am the Enforcement Directorate launched simultaneous raids at 8 locations associated with the digital news portal NewsClick.
🔵 The raid lasted for 113 hours at Prabir Purkayastha's home and ended at 1.30 am on 14/02/2021. Neither Purkayastha, nor his partner Gita Hariharan, an author was allowed to leave the house for the entire duration.
🔵 Newsclick wasn't the first that reported Arun Mishra's taking up of Adani cases.
🔵 On 16 August 2019, senior advocate Dushyant Dave wrote to Supreme Court judges alleging that during the 2019 summer vacation benches - when only a few judges usually hear urgent matters Justice Arun Mishra took up Adani Group cases without urgency or approval from a regular bench.
🔵 Dave cited two cases disposed of on two days. On 22 May and the next day another. Dave wrote the benefits to Adani from these two cases would run into thousands of crores.
🔵 Neither the then CJI or Arun Mishra that time gave any response to Dushyant Dave's letter.
🔵 Also ED not raided Dave's home.
🔵 Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave was fortunate enough.
🔵 Not Prabir Purkayastha and Newsclick.
Earlier my full tank used to cost ₹3300.
Now the same tank costs ₹3567.
That’s already ₹267 extra.
But the real damage is mileage.
Earlier:
16.5 kmpl average
Now:
11.5 kmpl average
If I drive 1,650 km a month:
Earlier fuel needed:
1,650 ÷ 16.5 = 100 litres
Now fuel needed:
1,650 ÷ 11.5 = 143 litres
Extra fuel consumption:
43 litres more every month.
At around ₹101.90/litre,
monthly extra expense = ₹4,382 more.
So effectively:
₹3300 tank became ₹3567
+
₹4382 extra monthly fuel burn because mileage crashed.
Middle class is paying more money to travel the same distance.
As India positions itself as a global manufacturing and innovation hub, new industrial corridors are expected to drive unprecedented levels of workforce migration, corporate expansion, and infrastructure investment.
The success of these developments will depend not only on infrastructure readiness, but also on the quality of the systems that support adoption.
The next phase of Indian real estate will not be defined solely by what gets built; It will be defined by how efficiently those assets are managed, occupied, and integrated into the broader economy.
As investments, industrial expansion, and infrastructure development accelerates in modern technoparks/infoparks/aerospace industrial parks etc., we often witness the growing disconnect between physical development and operational readiness.
Rather than viewing buildings as isolated assets, we have to see them as components of larger economic systems.
Housing, workplaces, industrial facilities, investor capital, workforce mobility, and urban infrastructure are all interconnected.
No more can real estate operations be just about managing spaces; but should be building ecosystems. The challenge though is seamless ecosystem integration.
Rather than viewing real estate as a transaction, view it as an operating system - one that must coordinate capital, people, businesses, and infrastructure at scale.
The companies that build those systems, will play a defining role in shaping India's next generation of cities.
Indian real estate remains deeply relationship-driven, with leadership historically concentrated within long-established networks. But the call to new generation of founders is to reshape the industry, one shaped less by legacy and more by systems thinking, institutional frameworks, technology, and operational scale.
The focus has to shift away from participating in the existing real estate ecosystem as it stands, and zero in on helping design the infrastructure layer that future cities will depend upon.
We have to build that missing operating layer of India's emerging industrial cities: the systems that connect investors, corporations, workforce housing, compliance and asset management into a single organised ecosystem.
As India invests billions into greenfield industrial corridors, the connective tissue between built infrastructure and economic activity suddenly becomes as important as the infrastructure itself.
As capital and industry converge, the absence of structured operating systems exposes the critical gap between physical infrastructure and true economic functionality.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India categorically rejects the reports and claims circulated by certain media outlets regarding the economic situation in Iran and alleged difficulties in the supply of essential goods and public necessities.
It is emphasized that, despite the imposition of three wars and extensive pressures against the Iranian nation, no shortage of essential commodities or basic necessities has occurred to date. Owing to the effective measures and responsible management of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the procurement, supply, and distribution of the goods required by the country continue in a normal, stable, and uninterrupted manner.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran also urges respected Indian media organizations to obtain and disseminate news and reports concerning Iran from credible, official, and verifiable sources. In this regard, it should be recalled that Iran International is a media outlet affiliated with opponents and adversaries of the Iranian people and has a long record of disseminating biased narratives aligned with anti-Iranian political agendas. Consequently, it cannot be regarded as a credible source for accurately reflecting the realities of Iran.

⚠️🇮🇳 A Hyderabad supplier forged 199 test reports for Tejas Mk1A components.
HAL caught it during routine quality checks and filed an FIR on June 2.
Here is what happened:
• Tec Aero Devices supplied components across 18 purchase orders from 2022 to 2023
• Tests for tensile strength, hardness, NDT and salt spray were all faked
• The supplier even sent HAL an apology letter admitting two wrong reports then HAL audited and found all 199 were forged
• The actual lab named on the reports confirmed its name and signatures were stolen and misused
• HAL debarred the firm for 3 years and filed a criminal case
India is building a fighter jet for its frontline air force.
One corrupt supplier with fake paperwork can ground that entire programme.
This is not just fraud. It is a national security failure
This programme is already delayed by over 2 years.
It is fighting engine shortages, software delays and now a supplier that was faking safety critical test data for a combat aircraft.
🇮🇳 India's Atmanirbhar defence dream only works if the supply chain is honest.
The party is going to launch a national campaign across India.
👉 This will not be only at the national level, but also at the state, district, and block levels. Wherever people are facing difficulties, the Congress party will go there, share their sentiments, and fight for them.
👉 Not only through traditional forms of agitation, we will go to the people who are suffering, to those who are in pain. We will try to share their pain and carry their voice to the national level through maximum agitation.
Every Congress leader and worker should be out on the streets. We will chalk out the details of the program in the next two to five days.

The crash of Air India 171 in Ahmedabad, on 13 June 2025 killed 242 people and is the second deadliest air aviation accident in Indian history. As more and more data points are unearthed from the investigation it is clear the plane crashed because of holes in security architecture that point to Boeing and Air India.
The Enhanced Airborne Flight Recorder, conventionally called the black box, records every input and output of an aircraft’s system and is designed to be nearly impregnable. The Boeing 787 has two. The forward EAFR, which faced the full brunt of impact and the fire from over fifty thousand kilograms of fuel, managed to yield 49 hours of data, while the aft EAFR, found on the rooftop of a building near a largely intact tail section of the plane, showing no visible fire damage, had its housing and connectors burnt, and yielded nothing. The report also mentions that the plane’s distress beacon did not activate during the impact. “It’s built to withstand high G force and high temperatures,” Sharath Panicker, an Air India pilot, told me. “How did it not survive in AI 171?” But the report did not raise a question about this.

Amit Shah exposes BJP
For years, AAP Govt was flagging huge loads of untreated pollutants being dumped into Yamuna by BJP ruled Haryana and UP.
And BJP & it’s appointed LG would claim that AAP Govt is making a false excuses. No pollution comes from UP & Haryana.
Now what Mr Amit Shah ?
When responsibility falls onto Delhi’s BJP Govt, they have been regularly insisting BJP ruled Haryana and UP to fall in line, install STPs, do their work.

🔸Total Cost involved in printing New 2000 Currency: 14 Billion, 8 Hundred and 4 Million
🔸Total Voters in 2024 Parliamentary Elections - 96 Crore
🔸Considering a voter turn-out percentage of 70% (higher side) - 67.20 Crore Votes casted
🔸Cost of "Printing" a Rs. 10/- currency note - 96 Paise
🔸Considering a cost of single VVPAT Paper (doesn't include printing) at Rupee 1 (again higher side) - Total cost involved: Rs.68 Crore
When a two hour trip for inaugration of an institute costs Rs. 10 Crore to the exchequer how big is an amount of Rs. 68 Crore (once in 5 Years) to get the VVPAT printed on same currency note paper. (IIT Dharwad) 🤑
Additional benefit - It can be counted easily & in bulk on a currency counting machine, just post proper sorting in bundles.
Why can't India & ECI spend a meagre 68 Crore Rupees to change the paper of VVPAT to enable 100% counting of VVPATs dropped in a ballot box.
Out here #ECI is appearing more miserable than even #SBI as if having some vested interests to somehow avoid & deny VVPAT Counting.

🕵️♂️ The Architecture of a Movement: Inside the 2011 Protest Blueprint 🏛️📜
In 2009, an elite think tank called the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) was founded by Ajit Doval. Composed of retired intelligence chiefs, bureaucrats, and defense experts, it quietly functioned as a powerful incubator for India's future governance.
The Strategic Playbook 🎯
The Behind-the-Scenes Catalyst: While the historic 2011 India Against Corruption (IAC) movement fronted by Anna Hazare appeared entirely organic, VIF provided the massive structural planning and strategy required to sustain it.
The Power Transition: By 2014, the ruling establishment was reduced to just 44 seats. When the new government took charge, VIF members assumed the top three most powerful positions inside the Prime Minister's Office (PMO)—including Ajit Doval as NSA.
The Ground Reality ⚡
Massive, nation-altering shifts do not happen by accident or through viral internet trends alone. As modern digital-first movements attempt to replicate this ground friction today, the historical lesson remains absolute: true political disruption requires deep institutional backing, extensive funding, and high-level strategy hidden far from the spotlight.

Latur, Maharashtra Police !
Are we waiting for people to die at the hands of such Police Officers ?
When are we going to say enough is enough ?
The role of the traffic police is to regulate traffic, enforce road safety, and issue penalties (challans) for violations.
They do not have the authority to inflict physical punishment on citizens. Any act of physical violence by an officer is a violation of the law and human rights.
Right to Due Process: If a rider fails to stop, the legal recourse for the police is to note the vehicle's registration number, track the owner, and issue a challan or summon the individual to court.

In WB's Rajarhat New Town, the result in Booth 164 has shocked voters. Several of them told @AltNews they voted for CPI(M), votes which have simply vanished. CPI(M) got only 1 vote in the booth. 88% of voters are Muslims. BJP got 97% of the votes. Thread 🧵
There were no irregularities in the election because the Election Commission is impartial.
Muslims make up 88% of the population in Booth 164 of Rajarhat New Town, West Bengal.
There, the BJP secured 97% of the votes—637 out of 656—while Tapas Chatterjee received 5 votes, and CPI candidate Saptarshi Deb got only one vote.
On the other hand, across 165 booths—both located in Muslim-dominated areas—the BJP received 32 votes, the TMC 290, and the CPI 299.
The result at booth 164 directly determined the outcome of the constituency.
By 11 pm on May 4, with one booth still to be counted, Chatterjee was leading by 316 votes.
After the 18th and final round of counting, which included only booth 164, the lead was completely reversed, and Kanodia won by exactly 316 votes.
