All of the recent arrests/charges are under Section 12 of the Terrorism Act in which it is an offence to voice opinions which the state claims either "invites support" or "expresses an opinion or belief that is supportive of" a "proscribed organisation". (See below).

Remember that the British state maintains a list of those groups which it "proscribes". It can be found at the link below.

Note, it does not necessarily include all those groups you might think. For example the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine is not a proscribed group, as is tacitly admitted here in the listing on the PFLP-GC (a separate group):

Of course if the British state was interested in ending the genocide it would devote considerable diplomatic effort to:

1. Pressuring the genocidal Zionist regime to desist, including by stopping all arms, aid, intelligence assistance and training of, and support for, the genocidal occupation forces;

2.Engaging seriously with the Palestinian resistance, something which is made much more difficult by the fact that many of the resistance factions are proscribed under UK law.

A first step to engaging in this process ought to be to lift the proscription of the following Palestinian (and Lebanese) factions:

*Harakat al-Muqawamah al-Islamiyyah (Hamas) – Proscription extended November 2021
*Hizballah (Party of God) - Proscribed March 2019
*Palestinian Islamic Jihad - Shaqaqi (PIJ) - Proscribed March 2001
*Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) - Proscribed June 2014
