I am a Catholic husb/father of 7. I love Jesus, I love the Church that he built, I love his Mother, & I invite all #Baptist brethren to do the same. Prov. 18:17
@NateBornAgain This link (from an in-progress study of a local Baptist church) shows that relative to this one popular evangelical church, Catholics receive way more direct input from God’s word in Scripture during Mass (and this doesn’t take into account the other many direct quotes in Mass).
@rickbrennanjr@MrCasey62 Was St. Paul being “theologically arrogant” when referring to those who twist the scriptures to their destruction as ignorant and unstable?
The church’s teaching is clear and easily accessible. Some people get it wrong due to numerous reasons (hate, ill will, unintelligence).
@taco_talks Only 25 verses into the New Testament and Taco veers off the cliff.
Thank God that He gave Christians guardrails and signposts. But if you take the turns to quickly and wear blinders while reading, off the side you go.
@Truth_matters20@thyflameoflove Because they ARE reading the Bible, just not with the same broken lenses that Protestant Danny wears.
The Catholic lenses are formed by Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition (the teachings of the apostles passed down through the Church, history, beauty, miracles, and the saints.
@kennhistoria Hi! Just wanted to apologize for misreading your post! I reacted rather than taking the time to read it in context of your other work. I interact mostly with non- and anti-Catholics, so I got lazy and didn’t catch your mode of expression. God bless you!
I hope more Catholics take the time to call out this type of nonsense. Use X, Google reviews (showing what was posted vs. what Catholics believe), and other ways to alert others. Always do it with charity, but call out the error.
This is another recent post from a Protestant that could use some revision after detailed and Bible based corrections. To read the Bible in Context is to be(come) Catholic.
In the Fall of 2000, I enrolled in a Baptist seminary. My very first semester, I took a church history class. What began as youthful optimism became wearied cynicism as the semester wore on
While much of what was taught (especially about the Saints) was inaccurate, the chronology of major events told me one of two things: either all of this is man-made BS, or the real Church is Catholic. I chose the former, easier way, became an atheist, and lived like a heathen for 23 years
Time and life humbled me. Shiny objects lost their shine. And God was far more gracious to me than I deserved. He brought me home to His Church, and I have surrendered my life to Him. Far from perfect, but today when I get off track I’m not there very long
If you’re struggling, stay the course. Ask for wisdom and insight. Seek Him with all your heart, and you WILL find Him
All it takes is everything
William Lane Craig (of @RFupdates) says:
"I think that, as public representatives of Christ, it is very important that we exhibit the character of Christ, in how we interact with people who disagree with us... so what we want to do is attack arguments relentlessly, but to treat with love and respect those persons who propound those arguments..."
We agree with Mr. Craig, that we should focus on the arguments, and not the person. This is why we always treat the Protestant people who we are responding to with love and respect, while placing the focus on how incredibly unintelligent (and at times, comical) their arguments really are.

✝️📖 According to the Bible, Jesus taught the following:
"Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink."
You can find this full teaching in chapter 6 of John's Gospel 📖✝️
✝️📺 We also have two video Bible Studies on this topic as well, so feel free to grab your Bible and follow along:

While certain Protestants believe that Jesus DID MEAN "LITERALLY eat" and "LITERALLY drink" (Side A), there are certain other Protestants who believe that Jesus DID NOT MEAN "LITERALLY eat" and "LITERALLY drink" (Side B).
Side B Protestants include:
- Mike Winger (@MikeWingerii)
- Leighton Flowers (@Soteriology101)
- Jason Breda (@goodberean1)
- Skip Heitzig (@skipheitzig)
- Todd Friel (@WretchedNetwork)
- Jeff Durbin (@ApologiaStudios)
- Ryan Hemelaar (@needGod_net)
- Gary Hamrick (@CornerstoneChpl)
- James White (@HwsEleutheroi)
- Patrick O'Brien (@BibleInContext1)
- Indiana Brunner (@IndianaBrunner)
- Jon Root (@JonnyRoot_)
- Taco Talks (@taco_talks)
None of these Protestants on Side B have been able to prove that their side is correct. All they have given us so far a personal opinions and completely illogical arguments.
But perhaps William Lane Craig (@RFupdates) will be able to help them out!
When Jesus said "This is My Body", did He actually just mean "This is A SYMBOL OF My Body"?
That's what Side B thinks... but can they prove it? 🤔
🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨
No. They can't prove it at all. But it's entertaining to watch them try:
@eaderray@catholiccom My impulse is just to say: be at peace and let God discern the human heart. It is right and just to be concerned about rightly ordered worship, both in the externals and the internals, for with are both flesh and spirit.
@eaderray@catholiccom I think your fundamental criticism could be leveled at your own post: you are more concerned with the how/who distinction than is warranted, since both are important, & measuring interior dispositions (“more concerned”) is not really possible. The post is full of sound and fury..
