@idesibanda Remember there is a opinion inside government PSB employees paid higher in lower scale and lower in higher ,many a times Raghuram Rajan opined this in public. Probably some babu got inspired and thought this will attract huge talent from Pvt sector.
@BesuraTaansane@FinMinIndia@RBI Sir again strike will be done on 28,29,30th September preceded by Saturday and Sunday , then indefinite strike from 26th October.
DFS paid Scale IV & above officers BIG PLI. 💰
So here’s a simple challenge for today’s strike:
👉 Let the @DFS_India calculate the business generated by Scale IV & above officers today versus their normal daily average.
If today’s business is even ₹1 higher, give them 200% PLI. 😎
After all, PLI is for performance not for sitting out of work.
Let the numbers speak. 📊

@Kalinga_Odisha Visit any nearby branch on a banking day and ask them what they are doing inside branch till 8:30 to 9 PM when customer service time is 4 PM only . Certainly they are not “Nikamma” neither they are having any fun .
@Kalinga_Odisha Regarding Saturdays off in other sectors why you want you a banker to work on a Saturday,Is he a slave . Why don’t government offices work on Sunday then ?? So that the banker can go and complete his work on a Sunday .
@Kalinga_Odisha Many times bank association demands for more staff even they went on strike for this too . But as per government there is enough staffs in banks . In such cases staffs can only demand better working conditions .
@Kalinga_Odisha Things don’t work like that . In last 10 years PSBs business volume doubled but net increase in staff is almost Zero . Banks are business enterprises aiming for profit only(that’s what govt. want). Why there is no recruitment that’s govt to answer.
@NalinisKitchen Ma’am pvt banks are open today why don’t you bank with them . Also there is enough digital channel one does not need to visit bank . Also there is enough publicity by all banks regarding strike.
Dear Comrades,
Today, every striking banker sacrifices a day’s salary for a commitment that remains unfulfilled — Five-Day Banking.
Your sacrifice, courage and unity will not be forgotten. History will remember those who stood up, fought together and refused to surrender their rightful demand.
This fight is for our dignity, our families and the future of every banker.
Stand Firm. Stand United. Make the Strike Historic.
✊ One Cause. One Voice. One Banking Fraternity.

1. Banking is not a public service, the defination says itself a commercial organisation. Bank provides service only to its customers not public, to gain profit.
2. No one is stoping the youth to clear the recruitment exam, join a bank and work 24x7 without participating in strike, clearly begging isn't working.
3. If you are a non credit customer, there is barely any need to go for conventional banking, almost all of your service demands can be fulfilled by mobile app, internet banking, ATMs. If you are not so tech savvy there are Customer Service Points, Aadhar ATMs for you.
4. If government is so concerned about public convenience why don't they provide salary to public sector bankers from Consolidated Fund of Union Budget rather than including it in bank's operating cost and hire 4x bankers to run banks 24 hr all 365 days?
@Kalinga_Odisha Bankers do not hv the luxury of fixed working hours, they clock around 10 hours daily under intense pressure. Some also works on holidays. That’s why there is a demand for 5days work week.
@Kalinga_Odisha This is happening due to indifference attitude of the government. Govt. Signed an agreement since February 2026 to implement 5days banking. They are not honouring that commitment. Nothing wrong in aspiring for a better work life culture.
@Kalinga_Odisha Many of those got PLI hv zero contribution towards profit and others who are bringing in business and doing branch banking are left out . To protest this Unions have given strike call .
@Kalinga_Odisha Secondly there is a settled practice of wage settlement between Bank Unions and IBA. Govt. unilaterally declared and paid PLI of 360 days to 3% employees. 95% got only 15 days . Remaining 2% got zero .
