No one told me about the amount of math involved in PR.
Thank you @barcourt for leading @clarityglobal_ 's internal session today on surveys (even if there is stats involved). I'm about to change all socials to signify my woman in STEM status.
“Brake welcomes the changes to the Highway Code which come into effect this Friday (29 January 2022)."
Today the Government is announcing changes to The Highway Code to enhance safety for all road users, particularly those most at risk.

188 lives are lost in drink-drive related crashes every year on average in England and Wales. We can and must do more to avoid these unnecessary tragedies. My EDM 794 calls on the gov to support @Brakecharity’s campaign to Lower the Limit with a zero tolerance drink-drive limit.
Thank you Labour MP @RLong_Bailey for tabling an Early Day Motion: "Zero-tolerance drink-drive limit".
We are calling for a zero-tolerance drink drive limit, prohibiting any consumption of alcoholic drinks before driving and providing clarity in the law

Also "The government does not intend to set up or maintain a register of Building Safety Managers". This is yet another perfect breeding ground for cowboy operations and unchecked costs for innocent leaseholders @ukcag@EOCS_Official
1/2 As a result of @DameJudithH treating high rise buildings as chemical plants & oil rigs, each high rise building will have to appoint an unregulated Building Safety Manager, thanks to @H_S_E.
As per govt own estimates, cost to EACH building: £60,000 per annum on average.
You cannot be serious. This will drive leaseholders to bankruptcy, with lenders repossessing hundreds of thousands of flats that cannot be sold due to unaffordable service charges. When will freeholders be made to take responsibility for THEIR buildings @michaelgove@RishiSunak?

@hatteriaUK@michaelgove@RishiSunak@hmtreasury Feel your pain. Had to have a second done because postcode was wrong on first report (yup) and new report showed WAY more issues even though done by same company. Now insurance up 300%, back to start of BSF process, and WW costing £500 each, every month. It’s open season.
Our building didn't meet fire regs at the time it was built in 08, let alone now. So under polluter pays principle, who is liable? Developer, who went bust (tho parent company-Ipsus-is still trading)? Council or Fire Service for signing off an illegal building? @EOCS_Official
Thanks to @PutneyFleur for mentioning our development in parliament and continuing to press the govt on finally solving this nightmare - please don't let us down @michaelgove, we are all waiting with bated breath #claddingscandal@EOCS_Official
"I have enormous sympathy with leaseholders. Where the responsibility for remediation truly lies elsewhere. Looking at the burden of remediation to be lifted from leaseholders shoulders and placed where it truly belongs" @michaelgove@PutneyFleur@EOCS_Official@LKPleasehold
Following an interim report earlier this year, @transportgovuk have now released data on e-scooter incidents over the past year.

Great to talk to BBC about changes to close loophole on mobile phone use: "Figures show that using a phone at the wheel makes your reactions even slower than if you were drink driving, so it’s vital that we all give the road our full attention #RoadSafetyWeek@Brakecharity

The impacts were likened to living through "ongoing trauma". Leaseholders talked about the loss of control over their own lives, the inability to plan for the future, no timeframe for building safety problems to be resolved and the crippling financial burden on their shoulders
‘Catastrophic mental health impact’ of cladding crisis. New research by @jennyfpreece @sheffielduni finds some ‘trapped’ leaseholders suffering from severe depression, anxiety attacks & need clinical help. Story fron @jjamesstewart & me https://t.co/JA24V5pym7
Helpful update from @PA: "The Government sought to clarify that it has not lost the minutes of a meeting between Randox and a health minister, only that it cannot find them at the moment."
It’s day 3 of the @Brakecharity#RoadSafetyWeek
Here’s a tip that could save you years of pain & serious injury.
NEVER place you feet on the dash whilst a passenger.
Airbags deploy in milliseconds at speeds of 200mph. Knees into face at that speed - horrific.
