The Government of the Republic of #Somaliland affirms its principled alignment with the #UnitedStates in support of calibrated international action to uphold constitutional order and the rule of law in #Venezuela, and to support a peaceful, #Venezuelan led #transition.
🚨 JUST IN:
Somaliland National Army welcomes State of Israel’s re-recognition. Republic of Somaliland is ready to cooperate as a strategic ally in the Horn of Africa, advancing stability and securing the Red Sea corridor
For anyone who forgot, this is what the African Union itself determined regarding Somaliland:
“The fact that the union between Somaliland and Somalia was never ratified and also malfunctioned when it went into action from 1960 to 1990, makes Somaliland's search for recognition historically unique and self-justified in African political history.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Somaliland hereby announces that the Government of the Republic of Somaliland has recalled its Representative to the Republic of Djibouti to Hargeisa for consultations.
Tammy Bruce, Deputy Representative of the US to the UN @USUN, exposes in a discussion on Somaliland the double standards and hypocrisy of the international community and the UN Security Council.
Other countries are allowed to recognize a state that does not exist. Israel is forbidden from recognizing even a real state.
Spoiler alert: no one will determine for Israel whom it may conduct diplomatic relations with.
It is unfortunate that the President of Somalia continues to mislead the world. Facts matter: Israel has recognized Somaliland, a state that has not been part of Somalia for 34 years. Israel is not coming to occupy—only to cooperate. Somaliland secures itself; Somalia relies on foreign troops for protection. So who is truly dependent? We believe in cooperation, mutual interest, and respect— #ISomaliland #Recognition #israeal
Congratulations to Somaliland for its first international recognition. May it be the first of many. Somaliland has right to self-determination and you'll always find support for your cause in Catalonia. @Presidencysl_

This is a historic moment as we warmly welcome @netanyahu the Prime Minister of the State of Israel’s recognition of the Republic of Somaliland and affirm Somaliland’s readiness to join the Abraham Accords. This step marks the beginning of a strategic partnership that advances mutual interests, strengthens regional peace and security, and delivers shared benefits to all stakeholders, without prejudice to any party.
This declaration is in the spirit of the Abraham Accords, signed at the initiative of President Trump.
Prime Minister Netanyahu congratulated the President of Somaliland, Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdallah, and praised his leadership and commitment to promoting stability and peace.
On behalf of the people of Somaliland, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Government of Israel for recognizing the Republic of Somaliland.
This historic decision marks the culmination of our 34-year journey toward peace, stability, and democratic governance.
Urgent Measures to Counter the Airspace & Travel War on Somaliland
Mogadishu is weaponizing airspace control & fake “e-visa” to attack Somaliland. This open letter calls for action:
1️⃣ End Somaliland banks’ role in Somalia’s e-visa system.
2️⃣ Demand airlines list Hargeisa as a separate destination.
3️⃣ Ban dollar shipments south to Mogadishu.
4️⃣ Suspend “domestic” Hargeisa–Mogadishu flights.
