After the biggest misinformation campaign of all by people who lie & cheat to create a self serving society to benefit their own means with the owner of this platform front and center I will no longer use it, the world is truly going mad for greed!
@TravisOverley@agronomistag Well you sound like you would have an answer for anything that doesn't support your view @TravisOverley and this is the problem with social media and it's influence over those who are not interested in or don't have the resources to look at the facts but instead are blindly led..
Agriculture's big message problem is that the general public is so easily fooled by enticing misinformation. And they don't know enough, or don't care enough, about the details to understand why the enticing misinformation won't work, or will increase their food prices, etc.
@timfarron :
“The greenest policies in the world, will be just pieces of paper in a drawer, if we don’t have the farmers on the ground to put them into practice”.
What a stark, hard hitting statement. 👏👏
Made a start on @SyngentaUK Thunderbolt hybrid W barley last couple of days. Yielding well & spec wt’s holding up considering the battering from the weather recently. Steady progress as lodged but the @CLAAS_UK Convio Flex doing a great job #harvest23@FarmersWeekly@chuckie88jh
I’ve had to do it again. A new update on the egg industry, supermarkets taking the mick out of British Farmers! All we want is a fair price to keep producing great British food!
@Farm3Dwithtrees The best and worst of SM on show here, I wonder how many people have a vested interest in agendas pushed on this tweet (be it right or wrong!)
@wessexagronomy The lack of joined up thinking [due to pure salesmanship] is becoming even more untenable due to ever increasing pressures on farm, both economic and agronomic!
@TJex_RegenAg Completely, well done for sharing! SM is usually completely biased to what someone wants you to see to promote a cause! Crop husbandry is about looking at all variables, stacking as many in your favour, before then looking at in season risk regarding product use...
@audlemagronpaul@BenGoldsmith Mr Goldsmith would have the UK produce very little food, re-wild the whole country and then it might only be him and his family that could afford the price of food that would need to be imported! Words are completely wasted here...
@wessexagronomy Ag is very depressing place to be right now! We should be seen as part of a solution not the 'problem' as we currently are! As you say we need to change how some things are done BUT not overnight and not by soley penalising Ag, the whole supply/processing chain needs to change!
My latest article on the #GreenDeath is dark. I apologise.
Someone needs to timestamp how, when and why the next wave of global unrest and famines began.
Post #Ukraine, you don't put more pressure on food supply with #Farm2Fork. https://t.co/JU22nur2yJ
At the 2021 IFS Conference Ken Giller, from WUR, presented his recent paper on the role of Regenerative Agriculture in food production systems. In this clip he brings some realism to the claims some make for RA. View the full recording for free: https://t.co/GNLpFM62x4
