PC Andrew Harper was a hero.

He risked his life to keep us safe. The 28-year-old lost it in the line of duty after being dragged behind a car for more than a mile. His injuries were so catastrophic a colleague at the scene couldn’t recognise him.

His new bride became a widow within a month of their wedding.

Now two of the men responsible for PC Harper’s death (seen here) are set to walk free at the halfway point of their sentences.

Harper’s Law already exists. It was passed in Andrew’s name to ensure those who kill emergency workers face tougher sentences. But it doesn’t apply retrospectively.

If the law named after Andrew Harper can’t prevent the men responsible for his death being released this early, what was it for?

Sunny Islam, a practising Muslim, dragged young white girls and women off the streets of east London at knifepoint, bound them with plastic ties, and raped them to “teach them a lesson for being out late at night.”

He was given an indefinite prison sentence. The minimum term of 11 years expired in 2021. He will walk free in September.

One of his victims applied for the parole hearing to be held in public so the country could see how the system deals with men like him. The application was refused.

The reason given: the mere thought of a public hearing had caused Islam “a dramatic increase in his anxiety” and sleep disturbance.

Britain’s justice system and government care more about a rapist’s sleep than the lives of young girls and women.

My 23-year-old niece just broke down in tears telling me what the Jobcentre is now doing:
They’re FORCING unemployed people to accept ANY job they’re offered—no matter how far away, no matter the hours, no matter if it’s safe. Refuse? They cut your benefits instantly. No money for rent or food.
Her “choice”? A late-night curry house in a heavily Muslim area, miles from home. She doesn’t drive. She’d have to travel alone on dark buses, then work surrounded by men in a male-dominated kitchen until the early hours.
A young British girl, sent alone into that environment because some bureaucrat says so.
This isn’t “getting people into work.” This is state-sanctioned endangerment.
Over my dead body will she be forced into that situation.
How many other vulnerable young women are being coerced right now?
This has to stop.
