Northern Irish textile folks - can anyone direct me to where I can find out about jacquard linen table cloth designs, where/when made etc? I’m researching some family heirlooms and am after some manufacturing and social context. @roisin_aiston@valeriewilson57@Ourlinenstories
@AidanOSulliva15 There’s no money to be had from baking unless you go big scale. I’ve been there, tried that. Have to find the sweet spot of still enjoying the creativity and occasionally covering your costs.
@sallypointer Please note, original manual don’t cover changes of usage. Shifting to academic output after years of manual creative programs can cause glitches. Not sure if ‘turning it off and on again’ applies in this generation of soft(grey matter)ware.
@howtobeadopted Do we ever believe we are genuinely deserving of credit, or do we always suspect there’s some other ulterior motivation or sympathy involved. I guess we think through and second guess every decision we make, so assume others do it to us.
Having a play with clay making some West Stow based spindle whorls. Not an academic exercise, but using the 1:1 scale drawings has helped. Hoping to cast some in pewter. #experimentalarchaeology
@besmart It’s the East Anglian Archaeology EAA 24 report. Volume 1 is the report text, vol 2 the drawings. I’m sure I downloaded it free, but I was a student at UCL at the time.
Week 4 complete. Only 3 days left to go. Thanks to those who have already given. I usually keep my life private, but doing this is bigger than me. Nothing will change what happened for us, but @CR_UK can help change outcomes for others. https://t.co/n9D3PJ7rHO
This is my good friend who lost her husband to cancer 18 months ago very suddenly. It's an excellent cause.

@McGowanKim You could try whipping up one of these courtesy of Jay and Dom’s Home Fix, iplayer, S1 E9. Assuming you have some copper piping just hanging around. Have a lovely day whatever you decide to do.
