Hospitality has relied on ‘customer service’ from overseas for decades. It will take years to shift mindset of most Brits. We need a solution NOW. Consumers will always want the ‘service’ experience. Hospitality headcount 660,000 lower than in February and average hours scheduled also fell. And all this is before the second lockdown and December tiers. These figures are as at October and then we had 1m on full furlough and 400,000 on part time furlough. Jobs now at risk
