México vacunó contra COVID casi al 80% de su población. Pero este número no puede mejorar solo comprando más vacunas, ya que muchos no desean ser vacunados. Nuestro meta-análisis con más de 152,000 participantes mexicanos en colaboración con @JohnsHopkinsSPH sugiere que 16% de la población mexicana prefiere no ser vacunada contra COVID.

Contrario al resto del mundo, en México los jóvenes tienen mayor prevalencia de rechazo a la vacunación que personas mayores.

Quedan muchas preguntas; no hay datos sobre rechazo a los refuerzos, la cual podría ser mayor. Asumiendo pérdida de protección con el tiempo, esto podría dejar a la población mexicana vulnerable a nuevas cepas.
