@wangtheslang@TacticalHoshino The "Marine" you play as, is a part of Force Recon. You are not a regular infantryman, you are part of a group that has been specially selected for your task.
@ResEvilDude@ShephardFan1 No, it isn't. Too much armor is actually just as bad as having too little armor. The load you are carrying limits mobility, and tires the wearer out faster. That is why in the army, yhe first rhing you do when you get tour vest is take the stupid extra shit off.
@ResEvilDude@NomadicAllo They were conventional infantry that got put on an amphibious landing. A salad and cake are both food, that doesn't mean you can call a salad a cake. The Marines operate as rapud deployment self contained air land battle task forces, that is not how the army operates.
@Fantasyeconomic They aren't. Marine armor is completely useless for anything besides a low power glancing shot from a plasma pistol. Having more ammo is easily the better option.
@ResEvilDude@Trauma_Causer If Marines are ground troops, they are the Army. Marine units are supposed to be tip of the spear self contained fighting units. The Army is for extremely large sustained operations. Just because you are being transported by the Navy, does not mean you are a marine.
@ResEvilDude@ShephardFan1 Why do you keep mentioning defensive war? No amount of armor would have saved a marine from a half charged plasma pistol shot.
