Dr Devendra Raj Pandey - my #Tribute

I began writing with heartfelt condolences, but as I reflected on the life and legacy of Dr. Devendra Pandey, it naturally evolved into a “Gunanuvaad”, a tribute to his virtues, character, and service.

Dr. Pandey exemplified what it truly means to be a citizen of a nation. Citizenship is not merely about exercising rights; it is equally about fulfilling one’s fundamental duties. He remained alert to the erosion of the societal fabric, spoke up when it mattered, and carried the responsibility of change upon his own shoulders, guided by conviction, merit, and integrity.

I will certainly miss our conversations. They were always thoughtful, respectful, and enriching. At times we agreed; at other times, we respectfully agreed to disagree. Yet every exchange reflected mutual respect and a shared commitment to ideas, public service, and the greater good.

His life serves as a reminder that nations are strengthened not only by institutions, but by citizens who choose responsibility over indifference and action over apathy.

May his soul attain eternal peace. His contributions, values, and example will continue to inspire many.

Nepal ones had Nation Security Advisor. It was formed and later rescinded both w/o clarification. Wonder if this govt which is set to be the biggest employer of advisors will think of hiring one.

Unemployment, growing frustration and mass politicization in Nepalese society is a ticking bomb that ones exploded in the Genz protest.

This govt instead of addressing the issue is further fracturing the social harmony.

This govt is hurting itself everyday. The stunt and artificially inflated ballon might take off momentarily but it is bound to burst.

The police brutality to Majid and friends for exercising their constitutionally granted right to peaceful protest is another testament of it.
