BEYOND excited to be signed to West Virginia Wesleyan. Special thanks to coach Stagani and the entire staff for treating me not only as a recruit, but part of a FAMILY. @WVWCBaseball @PBRWestVirginia @gregstagani25 P/C @ItsTrey2002 #WVWC2020
Not taking anything away from these kids who are obviously very talented….
HOWEVER
They have the absolute luxury of playing on smooth turf fields and will never have to face the horrible hop of doom on a grass field.
Ur not a real man until you take a shit hop to the teeth
Duke
2 Final 4 Appearances in 11 years
0 Title Game Appearances
0 Titles
UNC
In 11 years
3 Final 4 Appearances
3 Title Game Appearances
1 Title
But One program thinks they are the superior program
If you just watched Duke/TCU, you can’t come away with any other conclusion other than MBB is rampant with corruption and fraud from top to bottom.
It’s so out in the open now that it’s really just unsettling and awkward to watch.
I sat at my laptop and thought… 👇🏼
Wow, such a great video showing the path..
I immediately felt this feeling of.. 👎🏼👎🏼
This could hurt a lot of players swings, too.
But also..
Man.. I could get a TON of views and 🔥🔥 because it’s fits the ‘new school’ narrative
But my job is to make sure hitters RAKE
Not get views and ‘go viral’
I immediately thought.. this video COULD hurt many players.. Because they could potentially start to turn it too much.
Idk why.. but I feel SOME accountability and responsibility to make sure hitters understand what I broke down in the video.
DOWN and UP. SHORT and LONG.
The best hitters ever.. Many of them thought DOWN
While their video (most) says otherwise.
Real vs feel, right?
While many turned it backwards, they thought down.
Did the down help them turn it? (Doubt it)
Or did the down help make sure their natural barrel turn behind didn’t get loopy. (That’s my bet)
Make sure make sure make sure, your attempt to match Schwarber and other great paths… don’t fall in the scoopy, underneath mess. (Been there)
If you need help, let me know.
Stop dumping the barrel!!
Big cue here to make sure we aren’t doing this in our swing. When we start our move, the first move should be with the back hip and knob to set our direction to the ball. If you don’t feel this and instead feel your back elbow going first—getting in front of your hands—you’re dumping the barrel and losing control of your ability to make consistent contact.

If you hit a lot of pullside ground balls, odds are your swing finish low is in line with your shoulder & across the ball.
If you want to fix it, start getting your swing to finish between your ear and your front-side shoulder. Watch what happens 🏌️💫
Facts
The hitter with average exit velocity that uses the whole field, is more valuable than the hitter with plus exit velocity that tries to pull everything.
Parents that have spent their entire parenting days paying for every experience their child has in baseball need to recognize when your high school coaches are providing FREE … QUALITY… off-season training/development sessions after school and get your child there …
or if they drive, encourage them to be there (if not playing a fall/winter sport).
It’s almost like they would rather pay for more front flips (at a lesson), than get to have free development experiences for their son/daughter weekly… that touch on offense, defense and throwing progressions. Being regularly challenged with game speed offensive and defensive reps, hitting off machines, etc. etc etc…. BLOWS MY MIND!
Nothing against lessons. If the player needs lessons, do it on days they don’t get free quality training. And of course not every HS coach/staff have optional off-season training. That is a whole different ball game.

90% of the travel teams we play have no idea how to run a bunt defense or don’t even have one set up. The best is when we Suiside other coaches get mad and say who bunts in Travel. Yes we teach how to play baseball and bunting is part of baseball.
Sorry but Metrics doesn’t define a player. Lots of Cage Hitters out there with high exit velos but in
games they really struggle. Rather have a .300 + hitter and great OBP than someone with high exit velo hitting .150 when it counts. It’s about winning games!
If you are getting baseball recruitment letters from Power 4 schools and you throw 75 MPH and the letter says click here to unsubscribe at the bottom of it, you might want to think again. 💵
For most college coaches it’s not where you go to high school, what you did last year, or 2 years ago, or last summer.
It’s can the guy I’m looking at right now, today, in this moment, come in and help my program now or in the future.
