Reason : BLANK

The Reporters' Collective scraped every deletion form (Form 7) from the UP CEO's own website. What they found :
- ECI's software, ERONET, auto-generated 85,854 deletion forms when officers removed voters during SIR hearings.
- Pre-loaded with the officers' digital signatures.
- No reason given. Not dead. Not shifted. Not duplicate. Nothing.
- The law says you must know WHY your name was cut.
- And all of them came after the legal deadline.

The same officers whose job is to judge deletion claims were filing them. Prosecutor and judge, in one login.

It gets worse.
- 1,10,476 more deletion requests from individuals, accepted after the deadline.
- In Tarabganj and Pilibhit, 90% of deletion requests were against Muslims.
- In Tarabganj, 188 objections under one name, "Reshma." Same date. Same booth.

Questions were sent to UP's Chief Electoral Officer and to ECI in Delhi. No reply.

Bro, imagine your mobile number gets cut. You go to the store and the form says "reason: ___", auto-filled by their system, signed by the same manager who will now hear your complaint. Then he tells you the deadline for complaints is over.

That's what happened to 85,854 voters in one state.

Gyanesh Kumar ji, your software deletes, your officers sign, your office stays silent. Who exactly is answerable?

The Supreme Court set up more than a dozen tribunals in West Bengal to hear SIR appeals, including from 27 lakh deleted voters.

Now Indian Express reports what those judges complained about.
The Election Commission's own IT portal will not let them serve notices.
They can't upload extra documents from voters, can't hold virtual hearings, and can't restore a deleted voter.
Appellants can't even download the order that tells them why their name was cut.

So the Court says hear the people, and the Commission's software says no.

The judge agrees with him.
Then the judge clicks "restore" and the screen says: option not available.
