It was a full agenda for the @ICRC at the @DohaForum: deepening our strategic ties with Qatar through dialogue on mediation, advancing partnerships with @qatar_fund, @qcharity, and strengthening cooperation with @QRCS as it joins our field hospital efforts in Gaza.

Across panels and bilateral meetings, we relayed realities from Sudan, Ukraine, Gaza and DRC, warning of the rapid proliferation and protracted nature of today’s conflicts. The human cost is staggering, and resolving them demands far greater political courage.

During a meeting with @qcharity on the sidelines of the @DohaForum, @ICRC Director-General @PKraehenbuehl reflected on the newly signed agreement supporting the most vulnerable Syrian refugees in Jordan, with a focus on families of the missing:

“Refugees who have a missing relative in Syria cope with the pain of not knowing their fate while facing urgent needs of their own. This support is both immediate and transformative — reinforcing dignity, stability, and the prospect of greater self-reliance.” #DohaForum25

On the sidelines of the @DohaForum, we announced a new @QRCS contribution to the Red Cross Field Hospital in Rafah — part of a collective Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement effort involving 15 National Societies, together with the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

The USD 1.2 million support will help sustain critical medical services for civilians in Gaza.
