Junior group leader position in our Cell Biology department @institut_curie in Paris, France. Amazing scientific environment, fantastic colleagues, great supporting package, outstanding facilities, exciting city,... what do you need more? Looking forward to work with one of you!
EMBO Centrosomes in Development, Disease, and Evolution conference in enchanting Istanbul is in less than a month! The lineup of talks and posters is absolutely stellar, promising cutting-edge insights into centrosomes. The venue also offers a stunning view of Istanbul.
Exciting lab news!
Boumard et al. is coming soon to bioRxiv. The thesis work of our own @BBoumard who teamed up with @GwennMeur and others.
Stay tuned for more info!
Our paper is out! Xenopus embryos follow #kleiber’s power law between metabolic rate and body mass. But triploids embryos which are made of fewer larger cells have a lower metabolic rate than diploids. 1/3
Véronique Marthiens from @basto_lab showed that RGC mitosis under high biomechanical constraints (compressive forces) leads to increased microtubule numbers and growth rates, resulting in increased frequency of lagging chromosomes and missegregation. #SpindleCroatia2023
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from Dr. @PaulConduit and his passionate work about the functioning of microtubules, a kind of filament essential to the very structure of our cells. His research could play a key role in the fight against cancer and neurodegenerative diseases !
3 years founded post-doctoral position to study the impact of cytoskeletal elements on gene expression in mouse oocytes. Interested in science at the interface between cell biology, computational biology and bio-physics?.. do not hesitate to contact me @MHVerlhac, @CirbCdf !!
It take a village to get to this point! I thank my motivated and committed past and present team members. I am lucky to be the PI of the amazing CytoLab and the best part of my job is mentoring them during their scientific journeys.
That's it - we can no longer apply for ERC grants. UK Science is currently in a sad place. We are unable to take to take a full part in the European scientific community that we find so welcoming and beneficial.
