Few realize that Sri Kasinathuni revived Saiva literature in Telugu. He published an edited Basava Puranamu (with his own foreword) and Panditaradhya Charitramu for the first time. Through his efforts, legendary poet Palkuriki Somanatha was reborn in the Telugu land.

తెలుగు సాహితీవనంలో ఆయనొక ధ్రువతార. 14 భాషల్లో అనర్గళంగా మాట్లాడగల చతురత, సంగీత సాహిత్య నృత్య కళల త్రివేణీ సంగమం ఆయన సొంతం. ఆయనే 'సరస్వతీ పుత్ర' పుట్టపర్తి నారాయణాచార్యులు. ఈరోజు (మార్చి 28) వారి జయంతి సందర్భంగా ఆ మహాకవి అసాధారణ జీవిత విశేషాలు మీకోసం..

🎭 చిన్ననాటి 'బాల మేధావి'
అనంతపురం జిల్లా చియ్యేడు గ్రామంలో 1914లో జన్మించిన నారాయణాచార్యుల వారిది పండిత వంశం. శ్రీకృష్ణదేవరాయల గురువులైన తిరుమల తాతాచార్యుల వంశీయులు వీరు. చిన్నతనంలోనే భారత, భాగవతాలను ఔపోసన పట్టడమే కాకుండా, పెనుగొండలో భరతనాట్యం కూడా నేర్చుకున్నారు. నాటకాల్లో ఆడవేషం వేసి, తెర వెనుక స్వయంగా నాట్యం చేసేవారట!
🎓 పరీక్షలో ఫెయిల్.. కానీ చరిత్రలో పాస్!

ఆయన జీవితంలో ఒక విచిత్రమైన ఘట్టం ఉంది. కేవలం 12 ఏళ్ళ వయసులో ఆయన రాసిన 'పెనుగొండ లక్ష్మి' కావ్యం ఆ తర్వాత కాలంలో విద్వాన్ పరీక్షలకు పాఠ్యగ్రంథంగా మారింది. చిత్రమేమిటంటే, ఆ పరీక్ష రాస్తూ తన సొంత కావ్యం నుండి వచ్చిన 2 మార్కుల ప్రశ్నకు పరవశంతో 40 పేజీల సమాధానం రాశారు. సమయం అయిపోవడంతో మిగతా ప్రశ్నలు రాయలేక ఆ పరీక్షలో తప్పారు. ఒక కవి తన రచనపై ఉన్న మమకారంతో పరీక్షను సైతం లెక్కచేయని అరుదైన సందర్భం ఇది!

🌍 14 భాషల మహా పండితుడు
ఆయన కేవలం తెలుగు కవి మాత్రమే కాదు, ఒక అంతర్జాతీయ మేధావి.

భాషా ప్రావీణ్యం: ఫ్రెంచ్, పర్షియన్, తుళు, పాళీ వంటి 14 భాషల్లో పండితులు.

అనువాదాలు: తులసీదాస్ రామాయణం (అవధి), సూరదాస్ (బ్రజ్) రచనలతో పాటు కన్నడ, తమిళ, మలయాళ కావ్యాలను తెలుగులోకి తెచ్చారు.

విశ్వనాథ వారి ప్రశంస: పుట్టపర్తి వారు 'శివతాండవం' పాడుతుంటే, సాక్షాత్తు కవిసామ్రాట్ విశ్వనాథ సత్యనారాయణ గారు పరవశించి ఆయన్ను భుజాల మీద ఎక్కించుకుని నాట్యం చేశారంటే ఆయన గాత్ర మాధుర్యం, కవితా శక్తి ఎటువంటిదో అర్థం చేసుకోవచ్చు.

⚔️ ఆత్మాభిమానం కలిగిన ఉపాధ్యాయుడు

బ్రిటిష్ పాలన కాలంలో అనంతపురం కళాశాలలో పనిచేస్తున్నప్పుడు, గాంధీజీని విమర్శించిన తెల్లదొర (ప్రిన్సిపాల్) తీరును నిరసిస్తూ తన ఉద్యోగానికి రాజీనామా చేసిన ధీశాలి ఆయన. ఆ తర్వాత కడపలో స్థిరపడి, అక్కడే తన సాహిత్య సృజననంతా కొనసాగించారు.

🏆 బిరుదులు - పురస్కారాలు

హృషీకేశ్‌లో ఆయన పాండిత్యానికి ముగ్ధుడైన శివానంద సరస్వతి 'సరస్వతీ పుత్ర' బిరుదును ఇచ్చారు. ఎన్ని గౌరవాలు వచ్చినా ఆయన ఈ బిరుదునే ప్రాణంగా భావించేవారు.

భారత ప్రభుత్వం **'పద్మశ్రీ'**తో గౌరవించింది.
ఆయన రాసిన 140కి పైగా గ్రంథాల్లో 'శివతాండవం', 'పాండరంగ మహాత్మ్యం' వంటివి చిరస్థాయిగా నిలిచిపోతాయి.

🎼 శివతాండవ శబ్ద సౌందర్యం

ఆయన రాసిన 'శివతాండవం' చదువుతుంటే కళ్ళముందు శివుడు నాట్యం చేస్తున్న అనుభూతి కలుగుతుంది:

"ఆడెనమ్మా శివుడు ! పాడెనమ్మా భవుడు!"
అంటూ సాగే ఆ మాత్రా ఛందస్సు తెలుగు సాహిత్యానికే గర్వకారణం.

తెలుగు భాష ఉన్నంత కాలం, అనంతపురం మట్టిలో పుట్టిన ఈ అక్షర గంధర్వుని పేరు మారుమోగుతూనే ఉంటుంది. ఈ జయంతి సందర్భంగా ఆ మహాకవికి నీరాజనాలు అర్పిద్దాం! 🙏

తెలుగు చిత్రాలలో ఖ్యాతి పొందిన మొట్టమొదటి కథానాయకుడు.
దక్షిణాదిలో పద్మశ్రీ అందుకున్న మొదటి నటుడు.
రాజులతో సన్మానాలు, గజారోహణాలు, స్వర్ణ కంకణాలు అందుకున్న నటుడు వారొక్కరే. అప్పట్లోనే లక్ష పారితోషికం తీసుకున్న వారు. చివరిగా రూపాయి లేకుండా పరమపదించారు.
వేమన, భక్త పోతన, త్యాగయ్య లాంటి విభిన్నమైన పాత్రలు పోషించిన విశిష్టమైన నటుడు.
సంగీత దర్శకుడిగా, గాయకుడు గా నటుడిగా 200 చిత్రాలలో నటించారు.. నటులకు ఖ్యాతి కీర్తి అగ్ర స్థానం తెచ్చిన వారు.. వైభోగం పొందిన ఒకే ఒక్కరు.

H. J. Dora, the former Director-General of Police (DGP) of Andhra Pradesh (1996–2002), is widely credited with transforming the state’s approach to Naxalism from a basic law-and-order issue into a sophisticated, multi-pronged strategy. His leadership was instrumental in the eventual dismantling of the Naxal movement in Andhra Pradesh by the late 2000s.

Dora convinced the political leadership to move beyond pure force. His approach combined neutralising armed Naxal squads (dalams) with offering one of India's most effective rehabilitation schemes for those willing to surrender and reintegrate into society.

He focused on enhancing the operational capabilities of the force during a period when Naxalism was at its peak. He innovatively used police cultural troupes to counter the propaganda of Naxal-affiliated cultural organisations. By staging plays in affected areas, the police were able to spread social awareness and weaken the ideological hold of the People's War Group (PWG).

Dora modernised the training system by establishing District, Commissionerate, and Battalion Training Centres. He prioritized public engagement and social awareness to bridge the gap between the administration and local communities, which was a core factor in isolating extremist groups.
